Özet
Modern eğitimde bilgi teknolojileri, öğrencilerin kavramsal anlayışlarını güçlendirmede önemli olanaklar sunmaktadır. Bu araştırma, web destekli öğretim materyallerinin 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin“Hücre ve Bölünmeler”ünitesindeki akademik başarıları ve kavramsal anlamaları üzerindeki etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, 2024-2025 öğretim yılında, 31 deney ve 31 kontrol grubu olmak üzere toplam 62 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Kontrol grubunda dersler mevcut öğretim programına göre işlenirken, deney grubunda web destekli öğretim materyalleri kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak“Hücre ve Bölünmeler Kavram Karikatürü”ile“Hücre ve Bölünmeler Başarı Testi”kullanılmış; ayrıca kavramsal anlamaları derinlemesine incelemek için yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Nicel verilerin analizinde SPSS programı aracılığıyla Mann–Whitney U testi ve t-testi yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları, deney grubunun akademik başarı puanlarının kontrol grubuna göre anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğunu göstermiştir. Kavram karikatürleri ve görüşme analizleri sonucunda; kontrol grubundaki kavram yanılgılarının devam ettiği, deney grubunda ise bu yanılgıların büyük oranda giderildiği saptanmıştır. Web destekli materyallerin öğrencilerin öğrenmelerini sağlam temellere dayandırdığı, derse katılımı, motivasyonu ve ilgiyi olumlu yönde etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışma, eğitimcilere akademik başarıyı artırma ve kavram yanılgılarını önlemede web destekli materyallerin kullanımı konusunda rehberlik edecek niteliktedir.

In modern education, information technologies offer significant opportunities to strengthen students' conceptual understanding. This research was conducted to examine the effect of web-supported instructional materials on the academic achievement and conceptual understanding of 7th-grade students in the“Cells and Divisions”unit. A quasi-experimental design with a pre-test-post-test control group was used in the study. The research was conducted with a total of 62 students, 31 in the experimental group and 31 in the control group, during the 2024-2025 academic year. While lessons in the control group were taught according to the existing curriculum, web-supported instructional materials were used in the experimental group. The“Cells and Divisions Concept Cartoon”and the“Cells and Divisions Achievement Test”were used as data collection tools; semi-structured interviews were also conducted to examine conceptual understanding in depth. Mann-Whitney U test and t-test methods were used in the analysis of quantitative data via the SPSS program. The research findings showed that the academic achievement scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Based on the analysis of the concept cartoons and interviews; It was found that misconceptions persisted in the control group, while these misconceptions were largely eliminated in the experimental group. Web-supported materials were determined to have a solid foundation for students' learning, positively influencing their participation, motivation, and interest in the lesson. This study will guide educators on the use of web-supported materials to improve academic achievement and prevent misconceptions.
