Özet

ÖZET İLKÖĞRETİM 6. SINIF“DOLAŞIM VE SİNDİRİM SİSTEMİ”KONUSUNDA ŞARKI VE ŞİİRİN BAŞARIYA, HATIRLAMAYA VE DERSE KARŞI TUTUMA ETKİSİ Yapılan bu çalışma fen bilgisi dersi“Vücudumuzda Neler Var? Çevremizi Nasıl Algılıyoruz?”ünitesinde şarkı ve şiirle ders işleme yöntemini kullanmanın başarıya, hatırlamaya ve derse karşı tutuma etkisinin olup olmadığını araştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda sosyo-ekonomik düzeyi farklı iki devlet okulu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenim İstanbul ili Eyüp ve Gaziosmanpaşa ilçelerinde bulunan İlköğretim Okullarında öğrenim gören 6. sınıf öğrencileri, örneklemini ise bu sınıflardan rastgele olarak seçilen toplam 145 altıncı sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Ön testte örneklem grubunu oluşturan deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerine basan testi açık uçlu sorular ve tutum ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada deney grubu öğrencilerine kontrol grubundan farklı olarak, şarkı ve şiirle ders işlenmiştir. Kontrol grubu olarak seçilen öğrencilere ise geleneksel yöntemle ders işlenmiştir. Çalışma tüm sınıflarda araştırmacı tarafından yürütülmüştür. Uygulamanın sonunda deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerine başarı testi, açık uçlu sorular ve tutum ölçeği son test olarak tekrar verilmiştir. Yöntemin hatırlamaya etkisi olup olmadığı araştırmak için ise, basan testi sorularımın ve seçeneklerinin yerleri değiştirilerek son testten 10 hafta sonra tutum ölçeği ve açık uçlu sorularla birlikte uygulanmıştır. XIAraştırmada elde edilen veriler SPSS 10.00 paket programında değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirmeler doğrultusunda aşağıdaki sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır: ? Fen Bilgisi dersinin şarkı ve şiirle işlenmesinin, öğrencilerin başarısında olumlu etkisinin olduğu bulunmuştur. ? Fen Bilgisi dersinin şarkı ve şiirle işlenmesinin, öğrencilerin hatırlamasında olumlu etkisinin olduğu saptanmıştır. ? Fen Bilgisi dersinin şarkı ve şiirle işlenmesinin, öğrencilerin derse karşı tutumuna olumlu etkisinin olduğu görülmüştür. ?î* Sosyo-ekonomik düzeyin öğrencilerin başarısına etki ettiği görülmüştür. ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF SONGS AND POEMS TO ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT, REMEMBERING AND STUDENTS ATTITUDES TOWARDS SCIENCE LESSONS ON“ CIRCULATION AND DIGESTION SYSTEMS IN 6th YEARS STUDENTS The purpose of this study is to search if teaching with songs and poems affects students' academic achievement, remembering and attitudes towards science lessons in ”What Do We Have In Our Body? How Do We Sense Our Environment? " Unit. To achieve this aim, two state schools, which have different socio-economic status, were chosen. The universe of this study is 6th class students in primary schools in district of Gaziosmanpaşa and Eyüp in Istanbul. The sample of this study is 145 students chosen randomly from these classes (Experiment and control groups). The achievement test, the scale of science attitude and open-ended questions were applied to the experiment and control groups before the practice as a pre-test. The lecture was taught to the experiment group with songs and poems and it was taught to control group with traditional method by the researcher. At the end of this study the achievement test, the scale of science attitude and open-ended questions were applied to the experiment and control groups as a post-test. To learn the effect of the songs and poems on remembering, the achievement test, which the questions have been replaced, open-ended questions and the scale of attitude were reapplied 10 weeks later. XIIIThe result of data analyzed by the program of SPSS 10.00 and the results have been found below: * It's found that teaching science lessons with songs and poems has positive effects on students' academic achievement. * It's found that teaching science lessons with songs and poems has positive effects on students' remembering. * It's found that teaching science lessons with songs and poems has positive effects on students' attitudes towards science lessons. * It's found that socio-economic status affects students' achievement.
