Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırma, ilköğretim okulları 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin sosyal bilgiler dersinde bilgisayar destekli öğretim yöntemi ile bilişsel amaçlara ulaşma düzeyinin etkililiğini saptamaya yöneliktir. Araştırmada bu uygulama, 5. sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersi“Cumhuriyete Nasıl Kavuştuk?”ünitesi konularının öğrenilmesindeki başarı yönünden sınanmıştır. Araştırmanın problem ve alt problemlerinin yanıtlanması için bir anket hazırlanmıştır, öğrenci başarısını ölçmek amacıyla da hem ön test hem de son test olarak kullanılmak üzere basan testi geliştirilmiştir. Bu anket ve basan testi İstanbul'un Küçükçekmece ilçesindeki mevcut donanıma sahip bir ilköğretim okulunda 2001-2002 öğretim yılı güz yarıyılında uygulanmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin analizi bilgisayar ortamında“SPSS for Windows 10.0”yardımıyla yapılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde frekans ve yüzde hesaplan dışında, deney ve kontrol grupları için iki ortalama arasındaki farla bulmaya yardım eden t testi; öğrencilerin okul öncesi eğitim alıp almama, anne ve babanın eğitim düzeyi, meslekleri ile ilgili etkileri belirlemek için tek yönlü varyans analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda elde edilen bulgulardan aşağıdaki sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır: 1- Araştırmanın başlangıcında yapılan ön test sonucu kontrol ve deney gruplarının bilgi bakımından birbirinden farklı olmadıkları tespit edilmiştir. 2- Verilen eğitim sonunda yapılan son testte kontrol grubundaki öğrenciler ortalama 50,98 puan alırken, deney grubunda yer alan öğrenciler 68,55 puan almışlardır. Bu durum bilgisayar destekli eğitim yöntemini kullanmanın öğrenmenin daha fazla olmasını sağlamada etkili olduğunu göstermektedir. 3- Yapılan çalışma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre cinsiyetler arasında anlamlı farklılaşmalar bulunamamıştır. Bu durum bilgisayar destekli eğitim yöntemi uygulanan deney grubunda ve geleneksel yöntemin uygulandığı kontrol grubunda da aynı şekilde gerçekleşmiştir. xi

ABSTRACT This study aimed at the computer-based teaching method and the effective level of a chieving cognitive goals of fifth-class students in social studies course. This research was carried out in social sciense course of the unit“Cumhuriyete Nasıl Kavuştuk”in fifth class in order to exanire the success of the subjects of the unit in the question. A quastionnaire was prepared to answer the research question and the sub- questions. A pre-test and post-test was deceloped in order to measure the students success. This research was performed in Küçükçekmece, İstanbul, in a primary school during 2001-2002 academic year autumn term. Analysis of data is done through“SSPS for Windows 10,0”programme. Taling the data derived from the test application into consideration means and standard deviations were compared., T-value is also derived in order to get the level of significance between groups, one way-directed-variation was applied to idenify their parents' education level. The results at the end of this research are included 3 fields. 1- There is no significant difference between two groups concerning their achivements in the pre-tests. 2- At the end of the post test, the control group tooh 50,98 points and the experimental group 68,55 pts. This result shows that computer- based method is effective in learning. 3- There is no significance between gender' s in both groups.
