Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli kapsamında hazırlanan 1. Sınıf ve 2. Sınıf Hayat Bilgisi ders kitaplarını toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği açısından incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini ilkokullarda kullanılan Hayat Bilgisi ders kitapları oluştururken araştırmanın örneklemini ise Türkiye Yüzyılı Maarif Modeli kapsamında ilkokullarda kullanılan MEB yayınlı 1.Sınıf ve 2. Sınıf Hayat Bilgisi ders kitapları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan doküman analizi kullanılmıştır. Hayat Bilgisi 1.1, 1.2, 2.1 ve 2.2 kitapları içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir ve kitapların analizinde“Toplumsal Cinsiyet Eşitliği Kitap İnceleme Rubriği”kullanılmıştır. Ölçütler toplumsal cinsiyetin yeniden üretilmesi ve toplumsal cinsiyetin dönüştürülmesi temaları altında; mesleki roller, aile içi roller, kalıp yargılar kategorilerinden oluşmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgular mesleki roller ve kalıp yargılar kategorilerinde toplumsal cinsiyetin yeniden üretildiğini, aile içi rollerde ise niceliksel olarak denge sağlandığını göstermektedir. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda ders kitaplarının hazırlanma ve değerlendirme sürecinde toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği bakış açısının dikkate alınması önerilmektedir.

The aim of this study is to examine 1st grade and 2nd grade Life Science textbooks prepared within the scope of the Türkiye Century Education Model in terms of gender equality. While the population of the research consists of Life Science textbooks used in primary schools, the sample consists of 1st grade and 2nd grade Life Science textbooks published by the Ministry of National Education and used in primary schools within the scope of the Türkiye Century Education Model. In the study, document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was employed. The Life Science 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, and 2.2 textbooks were analyzed through content analysis, and the“Gender Equality Textbook Review Rubric”was used in the analysis of the books. The criteria are organized under the themes of the reproduction and transformation of gender and consist of the categories of occupational roles, family roles, and gender stereotypes. The findings revealed that gender is reproduced in the categories of occupational roles and stereotypes, whereas a quantitative balance is maintained in family roles. In line with the findings of the study, it is recommended that a gender equality perspective be incorporated into the textbook development and evaluation processes.
