Özet
Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı ebelerin profesyonel değerleri ve mesleki tutumları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Materyal ve Metot: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte olan bu araştırma Şubat 2022 - Haziran 2023 tarihleri arasında Erzurum il merkezinde birinci ve ikinci basamak sağlık hizmetinde çalışan 285 ebe ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler yüz yüze görüşme tekniği ile kişisel bilgi formu,“Ebelerin Profesyonel Değerleri Ölçeği”ve“Meslekte Profesyonel Tutum Envanteri”kullanılarak toplanmış, SPSS programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan ebelerin yaş ortalaması 32.98±6.92'dir. Ebelerin %66.7'si evli, %71.3'ü lisans mezunudur. Ebelerin profesyonel değerleri ölçeği puan ortalaması 124.10±19.23, meslekte profesyonel tutum envanteri puan ortalaması 138.90±15.42'dir. Ebelerin profesyonel değerleri ölçeği ve meslekte profesyonel tutum envanteri toplam puan ortalamaları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki vardır (r=0.283, p<0.000). Ebelerin profesyonel değerlerini eğitim, çalıştığı servis, çalışma şekli, çalışma süresi, profesyonellik ile ilgili eğitim alma ve mesleki derneklere üyelik; meslekte profesyonel tutumunu ise eğitim, çalışılan birimden memnun olma, çalışma şekli, mesleği tercih etme nedeni, ebelik ile ilgili yenilikleri takip etme ve lisansüstü eğitim yapmayı düşünmenin etkilediği bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Bu araştırmaya katılan ebelerin profesyonel değerleri olumlu ve mesleki tutumları yüksektir. Özellikle eğitim düzeyi, mesleki bilgi/yeniliklerin takip edilmesi, çalışılan birim ve örgütlenmenin hem profesyonel değer algısında hem de meslekte profesyonel tutumda olumlu etkiye sahip olduğu söylenebilir.

Aim: This study was conducted to determine the correlation between midwives' professional values and professional attitudes. Materials and methods: This descriptive and cross sectional study was conducted with 285 midwives working in primary and secondary healthcare services in the central county of Erzurum province between February 2022 and June 2023. Study data were collected using a personal information form, the“Professional Values of Midwives Scale,”and the“Professional Attitudes at Occupation Inventory,”and analyzed on the SPSS software package. Results: The mean age of the midwives participating in the study was 32.98±6.92 years, 66.7% were married, and 71.3% had an undergraduate degree. The mean scores of the midwives were 124.10±19.23 on the Professional Values of Midwives Scale and 138.90±15.42 on the Professional Attitudes at Occupation Inventory. There was a significant positive correlation between the mean scores of the midwives on the total Professional Values of Midwives Scale and the Professional Attitudes at Occupation Inventory (p<0.000). It was determined that the professional values of midwives were affected by the level of education, the department where they worked, working style, total work experience, having received education on professionalism, and membership in professional associations. On the other hand, it was found that their professional attitudes at occupation were influenced by education, satisfaction with their department, working style, the reason for choosing the profession, following innovations in midwifery, and planning to do a postgraduate degree. Conclusion: The professional values of the midwives participating in this study were positive, and their professional attitudes at occupation were high. It can be said that especially the level of education, gaining professional knowledge/following innovations, the department, and organization have a positive effect on both professional value perceptions and professional attitudes at occupation.
