Özet
Bu araştırma, ebelik öğrencilerinin klinik uygulama deneyimlerinin mesleğe karşı aidiyet, empati ve profesyonel değerlere karşı tutumuna etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapıldı. Tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı tipte olan araştırma, Şubat–Mayıs 2025 tarihleri arasında Biruni Üniversitesi Ebelik Bölümü lisans öğrencileri ile yürütüldü. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2024–2025 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz yarıyılında öğrenim gören 385 kadın öğrenci oluşturdu. Veriler“Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu”,“Ebelik Aidiyet Ölçeği”,“Toronto Empati Ölçeği”ve“Ebelerin Profesyonel Değerleri Ölçeği”ile toplandı; analizler SPSS 22.0 programı kullanılarak yapıldı. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaş ortalamalarının 21.03 olduğu belirlendi. Öğrencilerin 3. ve 4. sınıfta Ebelik Aidiyet Ölçeği alt boyutu Meslekte Görev ve Yetki Sınırı puanı; Toronto Empati Ölçeği toplam puanı; Ebelerin Profesyonel Değerleri Ölçeği toplam ve alt boyutları olan Ebelik İlişkileri ve Ebelik Uygulamaları puan ortalamaları 1. ve 2. sınıf öğrencilerine göre anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek olduğu saptandı (p< .05). Korelasyon analizine göre kullanılan tüm ölçek toplam puan ve alt boyut puanları arasında pozitif yönde ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki saptandı (p< .01). Ebelik Aidiyet Ölçeği alt boyutlarından Duygusal Aidiyet ile Ebelik Aidiyet Ölçeği toplam puanı arasında yüksek düzeyde (r=.81; p=.00) istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulundu (p< .05). Toronto Empati Ölçeği ile Ebelerin Profesyonel Değerleri Ölçeği toplam puanları (r= .51; p= .00) arasında orta düzeyde anlamlı ilişki bulundu (p< .05). Sonuç olarak, klinik deneyimlerin öğrencilerin mesleğe aidiyet, empati ve profesyonel değerlere yönelik tutumlarını güçlendirdiği ve mesleki gelişimlerini desteklediği belirlendi.

This study was conducted to examine the effect of midwifery students' clinical practice experiences on their sense of belonging to the profession, empathy, and attitudes toward professional values. The study, which was descriptive and exploratory in nature, was conducted between February and May 2025 with undergraduate students in the Department of Midwifery at Biruni University. The study sample consisted of 385 female students enrolled in the fall semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. Data were collected using the“Demographic Information Form,”the“Midwifery Identity Scale,”the“Toronto Empathy Scale,”and the“Midwives' Professional Values Scale”; analyses were performed using SPSS 22.0. The mean age of the students participating in the study was determined to be 21.03. The mean scores for the“Role and Authority Boundaries in the Profession”subscale of the Midwifery Affiliation Scale; the total score of the Toronto Empathy Scale; and the mean scores for the total and subscales (Midwifery Relationships and Midwifery Practices) of the Midwives' Professional Values Scale were found to be significantly higher compared to those of first- and second-year students (p < .05). According to the correlation analysis, a positive and statistically significant relationship was found between the total scores and subscale scores of all scales used (p < .01). A high-level (r = .81; p = .00) statistically significant relationship was found between the Emotional Commitment subscale of the Midwifery Commitment Scale and the total score of the Midwifery Commitment Scale (p < .05). A moderate, statistically significant correlation was found between the Toronto Empathy Scale and the total scores of the Midwives' Professional Values Scale (r = .51; p = .00) (p < .05). In conclusion, it was determined that clinical experiences strengthen students' attitudes toward professional commitment, empathy, and professional values and support their professional development.
