The purpose of this research is to investigate the hypothesized relationship between emotional intelligence, life satisfaction, and depression. In this research, 741 Turkish women participants filled in the online survey including measures of emotional intelligence, life satisfaction, and depression. Emotional intelligence was measured with Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory, Bar-On EQ-i (Bar-On, 1997), depression was measured with CES-D. and life satisfaction was measured by the Satisfaction Life Scale (SWLS). The results of the questionnaires were analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 21. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation and independent t-test were run for data. In line with predictions, correlational analyses revealed a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and life satisfaction and negative relationship between emotional intelligence and depression.
