Özet
Bu araştırmada Türkiye'de aday öğretmenleri yetiştirmeye yönelik bir mentorluk modeli önerilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında model geliştirilmesi için iki aşamalı yöntem izlenmiştir. Birinci aşamada kavramsal çerçevede mentorluk modelleri incelenerek temalar çıkarılmış ve taslak bir model geliştirilmiştir. İkinci aşamada oluşturulan mentorluk modelinin uygunluğuna yönelik okul müdürü, kadrolu öğretmen, aday öğretmen ve akademisyenlerin görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Yapılan görüşmeler sonucu elde edilen bulgular neticesinde mentorluk modelinde iyileştirmeler yapılarak modele son hali verilmiştir. Modelde, mentor öğretmen atanması, mentorluk süreci ve mentorluk sürecinin değerlendirilmesine yönelik öneriler getirilmiştir. Modelde mentor öğretmenliğin resmi görevlendirme şeklinde yapılması ve ücretlendirilmesi önerilmektedir. Bakanlık merkez teşkilatında mentorluk destek birimlerinin kurulması ve her ilde AR-GE bünyesinde mentorluk eğitimlerinin açılması önerilmiştir. Önerilen modelde mentor seçimi ve atanmasının seçim kontrol listesi ve komisyon tarafından yapılan görüşmelere dayanarak yürütülmesi önerilmektedir. Seçilen mentorların mentorluk eğitimine tabi tutulması önerilmektedir. Mentor öğretmenler için ücretlendirme, hizmet puanı ve iş yükünün azaltılması gibi teşvikler sağlanmalıdır. Mentorluk süresinde aday öğretmenlerin, mentorlarıyla düzenli toplantı yaparak dönüt alması önerilmektedir. Mentorluğun etkililiğinin belirlenmesi için hem süreç hem de sonuç değerlendirmesi yapılması önerilmektedir.

This study aimed to develop mentoring model for teacher induction in Turkey. In the study qualitative research method was used. Within the scope of research two-phase method was used to develop the model. In the first phase, a literature review of mentoring models was conducted, themes were identified and a draft model was developed. During the second phase, in-depth interviews were used to gather opinions of school principals, veteran teachers, new teachers and academician, about usability of the mentoring model. Based on findings from interviews, several improvements were made to the mentoring model and the model was finalized. Suggested mentoring model, provides practical advice for mentor recruitment, mentoring process and evaluation of mentoring process. In the model, it is recommended that mentor teacher assignment should be formalised and mentors should be paid for their work. It was proposed to establish mentoring support department in the central organization of the Ministry and to provide mentoring trainings in department for research, development and projects within each province. According to the suggested mentoring model; mentor selection and recruitment are suggested to be performed through selection checklist and interviews made by a commission. Selected mentors are suggested to be offered mentoring training. Mentor teachers should be encouraged by incentives such as stipend, service score and release from workload. It is also suggested that during mentoring process new teacher should meet with their mentors and receive regular feedback. Both process and outcome evaluation are suggested to be conducted to examine the effectiveness of mentoring.
