Özet
İÜ ÖZET Bu çalışmada Eurygaster maura L.'nın (Hemiptera: Scutelleridae) erkek üreme organlarının farklı mevsimlerdeki gelişimi ve bu gelişimin gün uzunluğu ile ilişkisi ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Tarlalardan, estivasyon ve hibernasyon alanlarından toplanılan örnekler, histoloji ve iklim laborotuvarlarmda deneye tabi tutulmuştur. Araziden toplanan örnekler iki gruba ayrılmış, I. grub toplandıktan hemen sonra teslislerinin uzunluk ve genişlik, vas deferenslerinin ise sadece genişlik ölçümleri alınıp histolojik incelemeleri yapılmıştır. II. grub iklim odalarında 25±1°C sıcaklığa, (12/12), (18/6) ve (24/0) saat aydınlık-karanlık gün uzunluğu koşullarına, 15 gün maruz bırakıldıktan sonra histolojik incelemeleri yapılmıştır. Bu incelemeler sonununda yeni erginlerin testis boyutlarının Ağustos ayına kadar hızlı bir şekilde arttığı, bu aydan sonra gittikçe azalarak, Haziran ayında diyapozdan çıkmış olan ergin bireylerde en küçük boyutlarına eriştiği gözlenmişdir. Histolojik gözlemlerimizde Temmuz ve Ağustos aylarında yeni erginlerde testis folliküllerinde yalnızca spermatogonium ve spermatosit cysflerinin bulunduğu bunu izleyen estivasyon döneminde, testislerde spermatogenezisin bütün safhalarının olduğu, hibernasyon çıkışında ise testis folliküllerinin spermatozooniarla dolduğu görülmüştür.iv Bu çalışmanın sonucunda doğal ve laborotuvar ortamlarında testis boyutları ile buna bağlı olarakta spermatogenesis hızında meydana gelen değişikliğin sıcaklık ve gün-uzunluğuna bağlı olduğu bulunmuştur.

ABSTRACT This study reports the findings of a research on the development of the reproduction organs of the male Eurygaster maura L (Hemiptera: Scutelleridae) and the relation of the development to the duration of photoperiod. Samples collected from the fields, in specific the areas of estivation and hibernation of the species were subjected to treatment at the histology and the climatically controlled laboratories. For the experiments, the samples were divided into two groups. In the first group the length and width dimensions of the testis and the width of vas differences were recorded and then subjected to histological evaluation. Samples in the second group were measured and then subjected to ambient temperatures of 25±1 °C for a period of (12/12), (18/6) and (24/0) hours light/dark periods for 15 days as the main treatment. They were then subjected to histological evaluation. The comparative evaluations of the two groups have shown that the testis dimensions of the young adults increased rather quickly until beginning of August and then declined gradually to its minimum values by June. Histological evaluations revealed that in July and August, the testis follicules of the young adults contained only spermatogonium and spermatosit cysts. In the subsequent estivation period all phases of spermatogenesis and the testis follicules were filled up with spermatozoon at the termination of the hibernation period. This study have shown that, in natural as well as in laboratory conditions, the changes of the testis dimensions and the speed of spermatogenesis are dependent on the ambient temperature and photoperiod.
