Özet

Her gün gelişen teknoloji öğretim programlarını da etkilemiştir. Sosyal bilgiler programı da bu programlardan biridir. Önceki sosyal bilgiler programında olmayan beceriler yeni programda yerini almıştır. Bu Araştırmanın genel amacı; ilkokul dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerine sosyal bilgiler dersinde“Üretim, Tüketim ve Dağıtım”öğrenme alanında yer alan“Üretimden Tüketime”ünitesinde kazandırılması amaçlanan tablo ve diyagram okuma becerisinin öğrencilerin ne düzeyde gerçekleştirdiğini çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modeline göre yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan akademik başarı testi, Kahramanmaraş ilinde bulunan ilkokulların yedi merkez okulundan 215 öğrenci ve dört köy okulundan 77 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 11 okuldan 292 dördüncü sınıf öğrencisine uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularını elde etmek amacıyla bağımlı gruplarda farklılık tespit etmek için ANNOVA, farklı grubu tespit etmek için ise Scheffe testleri, bağımsız gruplarda ise t-testi analizi yapılmıştır. Bu analizler sonucunda: Öğrencilerin“Tablo ve Diyagram Okuma”becerisi orta seviyenin biraz altında ( =9.96) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Değişkenler açısından ise; kız öğrencilerin“Tablo ve Diyagram Okuma”becerisi ( =10,73), erkek öğrencilere göre ( =9.25) anlamlı düzeyde (t=2.76, p=.006<.05) yüksek bulunmuştur. Anne eğitim düzeyi artan öğrencilerin daha başarılı olduğu tespit edilmiştir (F= 9.8, p=.000<.05). Aynı şekilde baba eğitim düzeyi artan öğrenciler de daha başarılı bulunmuştur (F=10.6, p=.000<.05). Bunların yanı sıra; şehirde yaşayan öğrencilerin ( =10.47) köyde yaşayan öğrencilerden ( =8.55) anlamlı düzeyde (t=-3.190, p=.002<.05) daha başarılı olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca aile gelir düzeyine göre öğrencilerin akademik başarıları arasında anlamlı fark olduğu (F=9.6, p=.000<.05) ve bu farklılığın aile gelir düzeyi 2500 TL ve üstü olan öğrenciler lehine olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre yapılabilecek çalışma ve uygulamalar için öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

Consistently developing technology has affected the teaching programs. The skills that did not exist in the social studies program previously, now exist in the new program. The general aim of this research is to survey in various variables in what levels the students accomplish there a ding skills of charts and diagrams that has been aimed to attain in the“From Production to Consumption”unit that is in the learning field of“Production, Consumptionand Distribution”to the fourth grade students in social studies class. The survey has been made according to the scanning model of the quantitative research methods.The academic performance test that has been prepared by the researcher as a data gathering tool was applied to 215 students from seven urban schools and 77 students from fourrural schools, totally 292 fourth grade students from 11 schools in Kahramanmaraş city. With the aim of obtaining the findings of the research, in the dependent groups, ANNOVA has been made to determine the disparity, Scheffe tests have been made to determine the different group and in the independent groups, t-test analysis has been made as a result of these analysises: There a ding skills of charts and diagrams of students is determined to be a bit under the middle level ( =9.96). In the case of variables, there a ding skills of charts and diagrams of the female students ( =10,73), is found high in a significant level (t=2.76, p=.006<.05), in comparison with the male students ( =9.25). Thestudent of highereducated mothers are found to be more successful (F= 9.8, p=.000<.05). Like wise, the students of higher educated fathers are found to be more succesful (F=10.6, p=.000<.05). As well as these, students living in the cities ( =10.47) are seen to be more successful in a significant level (t=-3.190, p=.002<.05), in comparison with the students living in the villages ( =8.55). Furthermore, it is determined that there is a significant difference (F=9.6, p=.000<.05), in the academic success of the students according to the family in come level and this difference is in favor of the students whose family in come level is 2500 TL and above 2500 TL. Suggestions for studies and practises are developed according to the result of the research.
