Özet

SUMMARY This study was conducted in order to find out psychological symptoms of high school students and the teachers' ability to see psychological problems and handle these problems. The study was done in Namık Kemal Uses!, which was chosen among the 29 high schools of the Ministry of National Education in Samsun by a random sample method. 250 subjects were selected by a random sample method, representing 10% of the students in Namık Kemal Uses!. Within the scope of this study, 60 teachers ex cept for teachers of guiding and administrators were included. The subjects were given a personal information questionnaire and SCL-SO-R symptom scanning list The teachers, on the other hand, were given a questionnaire in which there were sample cases with certain psychological problems. Whereas the evaiuation of SCL-90-R (symptom check-list) given to the stu dents was made according to the standard evaluation of the scale, the evaiuation of the questionnaire given to the teachers was made through the correct options given 10 points each. The findings were computed and as statistical analysis, percentage and chi- -61-Değerlendirme sonuçlarına gör®; - Öğrencilerin genel belini düzeyinde (GS!) ve SCL-90 R'nln kişUerarası du yarlılık, ek skaia (uyku ve yeme boz), obsesif-kompulsif belirtiler, öfke-düşmaniık, pa ranoid düşünceler, depresyon ve ankslyete ait grupiannda da yardıma İhtiyaçları olduğu belirlenmiştir. - Öğrencilerin yardım gereksinimlerinin okudukları dönemlere göre farklılık gösterdiği saptanmıştır. - Kız öğrencilerin genel belirti düzeyinde, kişiierarası duyarlılık ve anksiyete alt gruplarında yardım ihtiyacının erkek öğrencilere oranla daha fazla olduğu bu lunmuştur. - Araştırma kapsamına alınan Öğretmenlerin öğrencilerde görülebilecek ruh sal belirtileri seçebilme ve ele alma yaklaşımlanna ilişkin bilgi puanlarına bakıldığında %Wnm ortalama bilgi puanının üzerinde puan aldıkları saptanmıştır. - Öğretmenlerin aldıkları bilgi puan ortalamalarına yaşın, cinsiyetin ve mezun oldukları okulların istatistiksel yönden etkili olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar doğrulusunda araştırmacı tarafından çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur. -60-
