V ABSTRACT Masters Thesis xiESEARCh ON üüiE l.UTRITIOh CONDITION Ö Op 3-6 YEARS OLD CHILDREN PROM CHECHES AJND DAY NURSERIES AM) SOME FACTORS INELUEfcCING IT GÜ1ÜZ ar KARAKUŞ (OĞUZ) Ankara University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Science Department Of Food Science and Technology Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Seniha HASÎPEK 1992, Page: 106 Jury: Prof.Dr. Seniha HASİPEK Prof <,Dr" Sevinç YÜCE CAM Assoc Prof Dr.Nevin AKTA£ This research has been conducted to specify general nutrition condition of 3-6 years old group children from creches and day nursery of Ankara province Social services director, and in order to determine development and growth of these children; 2 00 Guineas from 6 Creches 3 from medium district and 3 from high socio-economic district have been selected. According to results of the research; it is seen that % 59.5 guineas from medium district and % 61.5 guineas from high socio-economic district have been suckled insufficiently. % 48.5 mothers from whole, state that they have used ever ready baby food for their children. In the period of 1 to 3 months nourishment, given additionally is cow milk and fruit Juice in the medium district; yoğurt and fruit Juice in the high socio economic district. It is determined that vegetable food is the most dislike food for children both from medium and socio-economic district (% 53.6-% 56.5).vx The weight of guineas is in the ratio of % 93 of normal limits in medium socio-economic district. According to Socio-economic districts, difference of guineas weight has been found unimportant (P > 0.05). Measurement relation between mother's age and weight of guineas has been found important in both socio-economic levels (P < 0.05, P < 0.05). The height of guineas is in the ratio of % 97.2 of normal limits in medium socio-economic district and % 91.2 of normal limits in high socio-economic district. According to socio-economic level; difference of height measurement of guineas is unimportant and this result is determined by applying khi-kare importance test (P>0.05). By analyzing G Test, Relation between mother's education condition and height of guineas has been found important in both. Socio economic districts (P < 0.05; P < 0.01) According to survey results; The average energy consumption of all guineas lower than proposed standarts in medium socio-economic district and higher than proposed standarts in high socio-economic district. Consumption average of protein, calcium, vitamine A, ribotlavin and vitamine C has determined higher than proposed standarts in both socio-economic district. Consumpted ferro level; has been found lower than proposed standart in medium socio-economic district. It has been found reasonable in 3 years age group and close to standarts in 4-6 years age group in high socio-economic district. According to socio-economic districts and result of the statistical analyse; energy calcium, ferro tramin, ribotlavin, niasin and vitamin C consumption difference has been found important, Protein and vitamin A consump tion difference has been found unimportant.
