Dr. Ali AzarTez Türü, Yılı : Yüksek Lisans Tezi, 2007Sayfa Adedi : 79İlköğretim, bireylerin hayata hazırlanmasında ve hayatı tanımasında kendilerineyardımcı olan ilk adımlardan biridir. Birey bu ilk adımda eğitim-öğretim ve okul ile birlikteders kitaplarıyla da tanışır. Bu nedenle ders kitaplarının ders programı ile paralellikgöstermesi ve öğrencinin bilişsel düzeyi ile uyum sağlaması gerekmektedir.Araştırma, tarama (betimsel) modellidir. Araştırmanın örneklemi 2005-2006 eğitimöğretim yılında, Zonguldak ili Alaplı İlçesinde bulunan 11 devlet ilköğretim okulunda görevyapan 56 öğretmen ve bu okullardan rastgele (random) seçilen 50'şer öğrenci ve buöğrencilerin velilerinden oluşturulmuştur.Veriler öğrenci, öğretmen ve öğrenci velilerine ayrı ayrı uygulanan anket formları iletoplanmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan anketlerin kapsam geçerliliği için uzmangörüşlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan hesaplamalar sonucu Cronbach Alpha güvenirlikkatsayısı öğretmen anketinde 0,77, öğrenci anketinde 0,73 ve veli anketinde ise 0,55 olarakbulunmuştur.Verilerin çözümlenmesinde, 11.0 SPSS istatistik programı kullanılmıştır. Çözümlenenveriler, frekanslar ve yüzde dağılımları şeklinde tablolar halinde sunulmuştur.Araştırma sonucu elde edilen veriler göre; MEB'ce hazırlatılan 4-5. sınıf Fen veTeknoloji ders kitaplarının fiziksel görünüm, içerik, dil ve anlatım özellikleri ve laboratuaretkinlikleri bakımından öğrenci, öğretmen ve velilere göre bazı eksiklikler bulunduğusaptanmıştır.Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlara dayanarak, MEB'ce hazırlatılan 4-5. sınıfFen ve Teknoloji ders kitaplarının; (a) cilt ve dikişlerinin daha sağlam olması, (b)bireysel farklılıklarının dikkate alınması, (c) etkinlikler için ayrılan sürenin tekrar gözdengeçirilmesi, (d) ders kitaplarının resim, şekil, grafiklerle desteklenmesi, (e) kitapta bulunansoruların kolaydan zora doğru sıralanması ve öğrenci seviyesine uygun olması, (f) kitaptakullanılan metinlerin sınıf seviyesine uygun olması vb. niteliklere dikkat edilmesi, derskitaplarının daha nitelikli olmasına katkı sağlayacaktır.

Prof. Dr. Ali AzarType of Thesis, Year : Master?s Thesis, 2007Total Number of Pages : 79Primary Education, which serves as a supporting element for individuals to getready for life and understand it, is one of the first steps of individual life. The individual, atthis first step, meets school books along with the education itself. Because of this fact, theschool books should both have a paralelism with the curriculum and be in harmony with thecognitive level of the students.In this research, it is aimed to have the opinions and ideas of students, teachers andparents about the physical features, context, language and narration characteristics , and thewritten lab activities of the Science and Technology Books written by MEB (the Ministry forNational Education) for the 4th and 5th grades of primary education.In the research, 56 teachers, 50 students selected at random and the parents of theseselected students, who are from the 2005- 2006 semester of 11 primary schools located in thedistrict of Alaplı in the city of Zonguldak, have been taken as examples.This research is a descriptive kind. The data of this research is collected by thequestionnaires which are applied to the students, teachers, and parents separately. By theresearcher, expert opinions are benefited from, about the extent validity of thequestionnaires. As a result of the calculations, according to the Alpha Cronbach Formula, thereliability of the teachers?questionnaire is calculated as 0,77; students? questionnaire as 0,73;and parents?questionnaire as 0,58. After having the opinions of students, teachers andparents, the frequency and rate dispersion of this opinions are presented as schemes in orderto make an evaluation.As a result of this research, it has been asserted by the students, teachers and parentsthat there are some kind of shortcomings in the MEB?s books related to their physicalappereance, context, language and narration features and lab activities.Depending on the results of the research, it is assessed that, (a) having firm bindingsand seams, (b) being suitable for all the students, (c) re-examining the timing of theactivities, supporting the books with the pictures, figures, and grafics, (d) organizing thequestions in the book from the easiest to the harder, (e) questions? being suitable to the levelsof the students, textes? being suitable to the levels of the classes, (f) containing easy-foundedlab materials, and having complete dictionaries in the books are going to have a part toenable the Science and Technology Books prepared by the authors selected by MEB to bemore qualified.
