Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırmanın amacı, ergenlerin, erken ergenlik dönemindeki depresyon düzeyini etkileyebilecek bazı önemli faktörlerin ortaya konulmasıdır. bu araştırmada depresyon düzeyine etki eden bağımsız değişkenlerle ilgili bilgiler, araştırıcı tarafından geliştirilen Bilgi Toplama Formu ile, erken ergenlerin depresyon düzeyi ise Aaron T. Beck tarafından geliştirilen Beck Depresyon Envanteri ile elde edilmiştir. Beck Depresyon Envanterinde 17 puan ve üzeri depresyon sayıldığından, araştırmaya 921 öğrenciden 17 ve üzerin de puan alan toplam 316 öğrenci dahil edilmiştir. Toplanan veriler tek yönlü varyans analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Bağımsız değişkenlere ilişkin gözlenen farklar F-testi ve t-testi ile test edilmiş ve en az p<0.05 önem düzeyi benimsenmiştir. İstatistiksel analizlerle F ve t testlerinden elde edilen bulgulara göre erken ergenlerin depresyon düzeyine; eve giren aylık gelir miktarının; evdeki oda sayısının; şehirde yaşanılan bölgenin ve yerleşim kesiminin etki ettiği saptanmıştır. Bu değişkenlerin aksi ne, cinsiyetin; yaşın; sosyal faaliyetlerin; annenin eğitim düzeyinin; annenin mesleğinin; babanın eğitim düzeyinin;babanın mesleğinin ve evde yaşayan insan sayısının depresyon düzeyine etkisi F ve t-testi analizleri sonunda önemli bulunmamıştır. Sonuç olarak araştırmada, erken ergenlerin depresyon düzeyini daha çok ailelerin ekonomik düzeyinin etkilediği saptanmıştır.

vi SUMMARY The aim of this research was to detect important factors effecting depression levels of early adolescents. At this research the information related to independent variables that effects depression levels, was provided through“Information Questionnaire”developed by the researcher. The depression level of early adolescents were provided by“Beck Depression Inventory”developed by Aaron T. Beck. The research performed at Çankaya Junior High School in 19 88 - 19 89 spring semester. And the target was among existing students during the time of research out of 1375 registered students. Due to unavailable students and wrong applications of the questionnaire by the students, the number reduced to 921 students. Since in Beck Depression Invontory 17 points and above are regarded as depression degree the research was comprised of 316 students, whose points were 17 and above. Collected data were analyzed by Anova. The diversities' due to independent variables were tested by F and t test. As a result of which p < 0.05 degree of significance was adopted. According to the statisticalvii analysis and results acquainted from F and t-tests; the affective factors for the depression level of early adolescents were culminated as follows; monthly income of the family; number of existing rooms of the house; part of the city lived in; the place where the individual has lived most of his life. On the contrary of the above variables; sex; age; social activities; mother's education level; mother's profession; father's education level; father's profession; number of people living in the same house were net found too much effective to the depression level by statistical point of view among F and t-tests. As a conclusion/ this research stated that early adolescent depression level was mostly effected by families' economical status.
