Özet

ABSTRACT This study aims to give language teachers a scope of the language teaching with video. The significant place of video in foreign language teaching will be emphasized, discussing its superiority to other audio-visual aids. The communicative value of video films in language learning will be emphasized, too. Besides variety of video materials, such as ELT and non-ELT video materials and the analysis of the video materials and of the group to be taught will be handled. The types of video teaching materials and the communicative teaching techniques to be used in the teaching process will be dealt with. Finally the integration of video into the foreign language teaching programme will be discussed, giving a sample lesson plan. -11-
