ABSTRACT This M. A. thesis aims at introducing video techniques in a language lesson. 1 view the subject from the point of communicative approach to Ian quag e teaching. Several techniques are presented and language through video is scrutnized in detail. The teacher's and student's situations a r e h a n d 1 e d e q u a 1 1 y. Many activities, situations and examples are used to make the subject more understandable. A video lesson, its video cassette and a questionnaire ares all included for a better application of this medium to our schools. At the end of the thesis, a conclusion including suggestions is presented to help solve the technical problems in EL.T. 11
