ÖZET ÇOKLU ZEKÂ ALANLARINDA KENDİNİ DEĞERLENDİRME ÖLÇEĞİNİN GELİŞTİRİLMESİ Seber, Gonca Yüksek Lisans, Eğitim Programları ve öğretim Anabilim Dalı Tez Danışmanı: Tanju Gürkan Haziran 2001, 133 sayfa Bu çalışmada, ilköğretim 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin çoklu zekâ alanlarında kendilerini değerlendirebilecekleri, çoklu zekâ alanlarında güçlü ve zayıf yönlerinin belirlenmesinde kullanılabilir geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmek amaçlanmıştır. Tarama modelindeki araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, üst sosyoekonomik özelliklere sahip olduğu düşünülen okuldan 122 öğrenci 6 öğretmen, orta sosyoekonomik özelliklere sahip olduğu düşünülen okuldan 139 öğrenci 3 öğretmen, alt sosyoekonomik özelliklere sahip olduğu düşünülen okuldan 119 öğrenci 4 öğretmen olmak üzere toplam 380 öğrenci ve 13 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubuna, araştırmacı tarafından kaynak tarama yolu ile derlenerek geliştirilen ve uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda şekillenen ölçeğin deneme formu uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS programında çözümlenmiştir, ölçeğin kapsam geçerliği için on iki uzman kanısına başvurulmuştur. Yapı geçerliği için faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Yordama geçerliği için, çalışma grubundan seçilmiş öğrencilerin yanıtlarıyla, bu öğrencilerin öğretmenleri tarafından yapılan değerlendirmeler arasındaki ilişki Pearson Momentler Çarpım Korelasyon Katsayısı ile hesaplanmıştır, ölçeğin güvenirliği için, Test-Tekrar Test Güvenirliği ve içtutarlılık yaklaşımları kullanılmış, içtutarlılık, İki Yarı ve Cronbach Alpha teknikleri ile analiz edilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda elde edilen bulgular, sekiz boyuttan ve her bir boyutta sekizer madde olmak üzere toplam 64 maddeden oluşan, ilköğretim beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin çoklu zekâ alanlarında kendilerini değerlendirebilecekleri, güçlü ve zayıf yönlerinin IVbelirlenip değerlendirilebilmesinde kullanılabilir geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçeğin geliştirilmiş olduğu sonucunu vermektedir.

SUMMARY DEVELOPMENT OF SELF-ASSESMENT SCALE IN MULTIPLE-INTELLIGENCE FIELDS Seber, Gonca Master of Art, The Major of Educational Programming and Instruction Thesis Advisor : Tanju Gürkan June 2001, 133 pages The aim of the study is to develop a valid and reliable self-assessment scale for the fifth grade students of basic education schools in order to carry out self-assessment and to identify their strengths and weaknesses. The research is essentially a descriptive study. The research sample of this study were 122 students and 6 teachers whom supposed to come from upper socioeconomic status school, 139 students and 3 teachers whom supposed to come from middle socioeconomic status school, and 119 students and 4 teachers whom supposed to come from lover socioeconomic status school. In total 380 students and 13 teachers were used as a research sample. The trail form of the research scale, which was developed by the researcher through literature review and asking for the expert views, was conducted with the research sample. The SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) was used to analyze the data gathered by the research scale. For the content validity of the research scale, perceptions of the 12 experts were sought. Factor analysis was used to test the structure validity of the scale. For the prediction validity, the relationship between the students' responses whom were chosen from the sample and the evaluation carried out by those students' teachers was calculated by using the Pearson's r (Pearson Moment Multiple Correlation Coefficient). For the reliability of the research scale, Test- Retest Reliability and internal-reliability approaches were used. Internal- reliability was analyzed with the use of Split-half and Cronbach Alpha reliability techniques. The research results obtained with the data analysis indicated that, the scale developed in this study which has eight dimensions viand each dimensions has 8 items all together consisted of 64 items is a valid and reliable scale, and can be used by the fifth grade students of basic education school in order to self-assessment and to test their strengths and weaknesses in the field of multiple-intelligences.
