Özet
. ÖZET Bu araştırmada, Türkiye'de İlköğretim okulu öğrencilerinin okulda bulundukları zaman içinde, güvenliklerinin sağlanması hakkında; öğretmen ve yöneticilere ait görüşlerin tespiti ve onların okullarındaki uygulamaları ne düzeyde yeterli bulduklarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla 1999 yılı Nisan ayı içinde, Ankara ili Çankaya, Keçiören ve Yenimahalle ilçelerinde resmi ve özel ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan 345 öğretmen ve 62 yöneticiden oluşan gruba; ilköğretim okullarında görevli yönetici ve öğretmen görüşleri açısından; öğrenci güvenliğinin sağlanmasının ne derece önemli olduğu ve okulların uygulamalar açısından ne derece yeterli bulunduğu hakkında anket uygulanmış ve veriler 0.05 düzeyinde değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın başlıca bulguları şunlardır: Yönetici ve öğretmenler, öğrenci güvenliğinin sağlanmasını pek çok önemli olarak değerlendirmiş ve iki grup arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır(Yöneticiler için x=4.57; Öğretmenler için x=4.56). Okullar uygulamalar açısından yeterli görülmesine rağmen, iki grup arasında anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir( Yöneticiler için x=3.94; Öğretmenler için x=3.62). Resmi yada özel okulda olmalarına göre yöneticiler öğrenci güvenliğinin sağlanmasının önemi açısından yüksek düzeyde görüş birliği içindedir (22 maddeden 17 'sinde); ancak uygulamalar açısından farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmen görüşleri açısından hem görüşler, hem de uygulamalar açısından özel ve resmi okul öğretmenleri arasında anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. IX

71 SUMMARY The aim of this research was to find out the primary school principals' and teachers' perceptions about the safety of the primary school students and how schools provide safety conditions in their schools in the practice. In order to achieve this, the research was carried out in ANKARA, in the town of Çankaya, Keçiören, and Yenimahalle in 1999. The research was conducted with 62 primary school principals and 345 primary school teachers who were working in the above mentioned schools. The research sought, how important school principals and teachers found the safety regulations in their schools. In addition, were there any significant differences between the state and private schools in terms of the student safety? Self-administered questionnaire was used as a data gathering technique. Frequency, mean, standard deviation were the descriptive statistical techniques used in data analysis, t test was used in order to test the perceptions of principals and teachers. The.05 was the significance level used to test perceptions of the two groups. The main findings of this research are as follows:. School principals and teachers both found the provision of the student safety in schools as very important. There were no significant differences between the perceptions of principals and teachers ( for principals X=4.57; for teachers ^=4.56) at.05 level of significance. Schools were found to be sufficient in terms of the student safety in the practice, however there was a significant difference (for principals X- 3.94; for teachers A!“ =3.62) at.05 level of significance. Principals of the state and private schools both were in consensus. in terms of the provision of the student safety in schools. There were some differences in terms of the implications of the safety issues in private and state schools in the practice..
