ABSTRACT Gülmez, Birgül, The Creative Conception Of Messatwun. Master's Thesis, Advisor: Prof. Dr. Hayranı Altıntaş, 128 p. Kindi, Farabi, Ibn Sina who were Meşşai(Peripatetic) philosophers, examineted in their works concepts regarding the creativ attribute of God They interpreted these concepts according to certain elements of Greek Philosophy. Nevertheles, a successful reconcilation between islamic doctrines and Greek Philosophy was reached. Hence, in the first chapter of this work, the concept of God was investigated according to Plato, Aristotle and Plotinus who were prominend Greek Philosophers. The mushm philosophers were infuenced by Greek philosophers, particularly in the area of metaphysical theology. In the second chapter, the concept First Cause and Real One which were used by Kindi (the first Meşşai Philosopher)were examinedAppropriateness of these two concepts with the Quranic idea of Halik, Fatir, Sani, was evaluated In the third chapter, meanings of Necessarry Being, First Cause, One, Reason, Makul, Passion, Lover, Maşuk, Farabi and Ibn Sina were studied İt seems that they tried to establish a harmony between Quranic concepts and Philosophical ones.
