Özet
Bu araştırma yetişkin bireylerin Geştalt temas kurma kapasitesi ve Geştalt temas biçimlerinin duygusal yemeyi yordama gücünü; sosyodemografik değişkenler, Geştalt temas biçimleri ve Geştalt temas kurma kapasitesinin duygusal yeme ile ilişkisini ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Örneklem Türkiye'nin çeşitli illerinde yaşayan 20-65 yaş arası toplam 567 kişiden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan ve ulaşılabilir örnekleme yoluyla ulaşılan bu katılımcılara Bilgilendirilmiş Onam Formu, Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Geştalt Temas Kurma Kapasitesi Ölçeği, Geştalt Temas Biçimleri Ölçeği ve Türkçe Duygusal Yeme Ölçeği çevrimiçi platform üzerinden uygulanmıştır. İlişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Veri analizinde istatistiksel analizleri için SPSS 24.0 programı kullanılmıştır. Geştalt temas biçimleri ile temas kapasitesinin, duygusal yeme ile ilişkisinde Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon Analizi'nden faydalanılmıştır. Geştalt temas biçimleri ile Geştalt temas kurma kapasitesinin duygusal yemeyi yordama düzeyleri hiyerarşik regresyon ile incelenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular Geştalt temas biçimleri alt boyutlarından saptırma ve içe almanın duygusal yemenin anlamlı bir yordayıcısı olduğunu ve toplam varyansın %15,6'sını açıkladığını göstermektedir. Hiyerarşik regresyon analizinin ikinci adımında Geştalt temas kurma kapasitesi modele dahil edilerek analiz yeniden gerçekleştirilmiştir. Buna göre saptırma, içe alma ve yakın ilişkinin duygusal yemenin anlamlı yordayıcıları olduğu ve bu modelin toplam varyansın %16,2'sini açıkladığı tespit edilmiştir. Demografik değişkenlerden ekonomik durum, cinsiyet, yaş, eğitim, ilişki durumu ve beden kitle indeksi; Geştalt temas biçimleri alt boyutlarının tümü ve Geştalt temas kurma kapasitesinin duygu ifadesi, yakın ilişki, diyalog alt boyutları ve toplam puanı ile duygusal yeme ve duygusal yemenin çeşitli alt boyutları arasında anlamlı ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Ulaşılan bulgular literatür çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir.

This study aims to examine the predictive power of adult individuals' Gestalt contacting capacity and Gestalt contact styles on emotional eating, and to reveal the relationship of sociodemographic variables, Gestalt contact styles, and Gestalt contacting capacity with emotional eating. The sample consists of a total of 567 participants aged between 20 and 65, residing in various provinces of Türkiye. The participants, who volunteered to take part in the study and were reached through convenience sampling, completed the Informed Consent Form, Personal Information Form, Gestalt Contacting Capacity Scale, Gestalt Contact Styles Scale, and the Turkish Emotional Eating Scale via an online platform. A relational survey model was employed. SPSS 24.0 was used for statistical analyses. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Analysis was applied to examine the relationship of Gestalt contact styles and contacting capacity with emotional eating. The predictive levels of Gestalt contact styles and Gestalt contacting capacity on emotional eating were analyzed through hierarchical regression. The findings indicate that deflection and introjection, which are subdimensions of Gestalt contact styles, are significant predictors of emotional eating and explain 15,6% of the total variance. In the second step of the hierarchical regression analysis, Gestalt contacting capacity was added to the model and the analysis was repeated. Accordingly, deflection, introjection, and close relationship were found to be significant predictors of emotional eating, and this model explained 16.2% of the total variance. Significant relationships were identified between emotional eating and its subdimensions and the following variables: sociodemographic factors (economic status, gender, age, education level, relationship status, and body mass index), all subdimensions of Gestalt contact styles, and the subdimensions of Gestalt contacting capacity (expression of emotion, close relationship, dialogue) as well as the total score. The findings were interpreted within the framework of the existing literature.
