Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim okullarının 1 - 5 sınıflarda yardımcı ders aracı olarak kullanılan ünite dergilerinin seçimi ve işlevine ilişkin yönetici, öğretmen, veli görüşleri ile dergi seçiminde bu görüşler arasında fark olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi, Ankara İli Keçiören İlçesi sınırları içerisinde yer alan ve random yoluyla seçilmiş 25 ilköğretim okulunda görev yapan 31 yönetici, 321 öğretmen ve bu okullarda öğrencisi olan 41 öğrenci velisinden oluşmaktadır. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen bir anket formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlemesinde EXCEL 7.0 ve SPSS programlarından yararlanılarak frekans, yüzde dağılımları bulunmuş ve varyans analizi ile ikili gruplar arası karşılaştırmalar 0.05 düzeyinde test edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre; ünite dergilerinin seçiminde dergilerin okula sağladığı ekonomik katkı oranının belirleyici olduğu ve dergi seçiminde okul yöneticileri, bu oranı göz önüne alarak dergileri seçtikleri görülmektedir. Bu bulgular ışığında kullanılan ünite dergilerinin işlevine ilişkin olarak; içerik yönünden ders programlarına uygun olması, kullanılan dilin sınıf seviyesine hitap etmesi, resimlemelerin ilgi çekici olması, öğrenciyi araştırmaya yönlendirmesi, programda öngörülen hedef davranışları kazandırılmasına yönelik etkinlere, ön öğrenmeleri hatırlatma ile ilgili etkinliklere yer verilmesi, deney ve gözlem yapmaya uygun yönergelerin hazırlanması, ünitelerde öğrenmeleri izlemeye yönelik testler bulunması vebu ölçütlerin dergi seçiminde yönetici, öğretmenler tarafından göz önünde bulundurulması yararlı olacağı düşünülmektedir.

SUMMARY The purpose of this study is to investigate the opinions of school administrators, teachers and parents concerning the selection criteria and the functions of the periodical supplementary documents designed Tor the specific course units of" the first through llllh grade basic education schools, and whether there was a difference between these opinions on I heir selection. The research sample comprises 31 school administrators, 321 teachers, and II parents randomly selected from 25 basic education schools within the holders o\' Keçiören sub-province of Ankara province. The data has been collected by means of the questionnaire w hich was developed by the researcher. Concerning the analysis of the data, F.xcel 7.0 and SPSS package programs has been utilized to find the frequency and percentage distributions; and the comparisons between the binary groups have been tested through analysis of variance at 0.05 level <if significance. According to the findings obtained from the study; in the selection of the periodical supplementary documents designed for the specific course units, financial contribution provided to school by those periodicals has been determinant and the school administrators have considered this issue while selecting among periodicals. In the light of these findings, concerning the functions of those periodicals it has been recommended that the following should be regarded by the school administrators and teacher as the selection criteria for the periodicals: they should be appropriate for the curriculum in terms of the content; the language used in them should address the related grade; the pictures should be interesting to the pupils; they should < hannel students to further research; they should make room for the activities related to the acquisition of the taiget behaviors, and the activities related to recall of fore- learning; they should provide directives appropriate for experiments and observations, and they should provide tests facilitating the monitoring of learning throughout the units.
