Özet
\ ÖZET Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim 3., 4. ve 5. sınıflarında öğretmenlik yapan öğret menlerin, iletişim becerileri ile sınıf atmosferi arasındaki ilişki, yaş, cinsiyet, me zun oldukları okul, hizmet süresi, görev yaptığı okul ve sımf açısından ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemi Konya Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü'ne bağlı Mareşal Mustafa Kemal İlköğretim Okulu, İbrahim Yapıcı İlköğretim Okulu ve Kaşgarlı Mahmut İlköğretim Okulunda görev yapan 3.,4. Ve 5. Sınıf öğretmenleri ile bu öğ retmenlerin okuttukları sınıfın öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Örnekleme alınan öğ retmen sayısı 33, öğrenci sayısı 1562'dir. Öğretmenlerin iletişim becerileri“İletişim Becerileri Envanteri”ile ölçülmüş tür. Okuttukları sınıfların öğrencilerine de“Sınıf Atmosferi Ölçeği”uygulanmıştır. Her iki ölçekten elde edilen puanların ortalamaları değişken sayısına göre varyans analizi, t testi ile elde edilmiştir. Bu iki ölçekten elde edilen veriler arasındaki ilişki nin saptanmasında X2 tekniği kullanılmıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda erkek öğretmenlerin kadınlara oranla düşük ileti şim becerisine sahip olduğu görülmüş, öğretmenlerin iletişim becerilerinin mesleki kıdeminin artması ile orta yaş grubunda bulunmaları ile doğru orantılı arttığı tespit edilmiştir. İletişim becerisi en yüksek öğretmen grubu Öğretmen Okulu mezunu olanlar ve en düşük diğer fakültelerden mezun olan öğretmenler iken Eğitim Fakültesi me zunlarının da iletişim becerisi puanlan ikinci derecede yüksektir. Sınıf atmosferi ile iletişim becerileri arasındaki ilişkinin incelendiği araştırma da ikisi arasındı anlamlı bir paralellik görülmüştür. İletişim becerisi puanı yüksek olan öğretmenlerin olumlu sınıf atmosferi oluşturmada daha etkili olduğu, sımf at mosferinin öğrencilerin yaş ve sınıflarıyla bir ilişkisi olmadığı ancak sınıf mevcuduVI ile ilişkisi olduğu gözlenmiş, öğrenci sayısı az olan sınıflarda olumlu sınıf atmosferi oranı yüksek iken kalabalık sınıflarda öğretmenin iletişimi beceri puanı yüksek ol masına rağmen düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Cinsiyet farkına göre sınıf atmosferi de ğerlendirmesinde kız öğrencilerin erkek öğrencilere göre daha olumlu yaklaştıkları belirlenmiştir. 1

vu ABSTRACT In this study, the relation between the communicative skills of the teachers lecturing in the 3rd, 4th and 5th classes of primary schools and the classroom atmosphere has been discussed in respects of their age, gender, school of graduation, service period, the school and the class currently lectured in. The sample units of this study consist of the teachers lecturing in the 3rd, 4th and 5th classes of Mareşal Mustafa Kemal Elementary School, Ibrahim Yapıcı Elementary School and Kaşgarlı Mahmut Elementary School, which are operating under Konya-Directorate of National Education, and the Students attending to the classes taught by these teachers. The number of sampling teachers is 33, and the number of the sampled students is 1562. The communicative skills of the teachers have been measured by“The inventory of Communicative skills”, where as“The classroom Atmosphere measures”have been applied to the students of the classe they lecture. The varience analysis respecting to the variable counts of the averages of the points obtained from both measures has been found through the“T”Test. In determination of the relation between the data obtained from these two measures the technic of“X”has been used. According to the results obtained in the study, it was provingly established that the communicative skills of the male teachers were lower than those of the female ones, and that the middle-aged teachers had a higher level communicative skill comparing to the younger and older age of teachers. It was observed that the teachers experiencing the early and late years of their careers had a communicative skill of smaller rates comparing to those performing their teaching duties for 16-25 years. In the study in which the relation between the classroom Atmosphere and the communicative skills has been examined, a considerable par allelism has beenVIII observed between the both, and it was proven that the teachers with higher communicative skills were more effective in creating a positive classroom atmphere, and that the classroom atmosphere had nothing to do with the ages and classes of the students, yet it was observed to have been in a relation whith the number of the students in the classroom, and a relatirely a small rate of clasroom atmosphere was found out in the crowded classrooms and in the schools for from the centrum, while the rate of positive classroom atmosphere was higher in the classrooms with smaller student numbers. In the evaluation of the classroom atmosphere, the girl students were provingly established to have more positive approaches comparing to tha boy students. Another finding revealed by this study is that the communicative skill points of the teachers that were gradated from the“Teacher Schools”are higher than those attained by the teachers gradiated from the“Teaching Facuties”and“Teaching institutes”. It has been also determined that the communicative skill points of the instructors originally graduated fro m m other types of Faculties, yet still performing as a teacher are lower.
