Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırmada smav ortamı ergonomik faktörlerinden hangilerinin Kocaeli Üniversitesi Endüstri Mühendisliği Bölümü öğrencilerinin smav başarılarını etkilediği istatiksel teknikler kullanılarak belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Sınavda öğrencilerin performansını etkileyebileceği düşünülen sınav ortamı ergonomik faktörlerinden; ışık, ısı ve havalandırma, gürültü, oturma yeri ve masaların yapısı, ortamın tozlu olması araştırma değişkenleri olarak kapsama alınmıştır. Bu değişkenlere ilişkin verilerin elde edilmesinde, araştırma yöntemi olarak, öğrencilere uygulanan anket kullanılmıştır. Anket sonuçları grafiksel olarak gösterilmiş ve değerlendirilmesinde Ki-Kare Hipotez testi kullanılmıştır. Bununla beraber öğrencilerin sınav basan istatistikleri ve sınav programları, anket sonuçlan ile birlikte değerlendirilmiş ve aralannda anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Tez üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde; araştırmanın amacı, kapsamı ve smırlılıklan belirtilerek, yargılanması yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde; ergonomik faktörler hakkında genel bilgiler verilerek eğitim alanında öğrenci başansını ve performansını etkileyen faktörler üzerine yapılmış araştırmalardan bahsedilmiştir, aynca, araştırmanın modeli, hipotezleri ve kullanılan istatiksel yöntem hakkında genel bilgiler verilerek, anket sonuçlanmn istatiksel yönteme uygulanması ve elde edilen sonuçlar sunulmuştur. Üçüncü ve son bölümde ise; araştırma bulgulannın gözden geçirildiği ve genel bir değerlendirmenin yapıldığı sonuç bölümü yer almaktadır.

ABSTRACT In this research, a tendency of detecting of which the ergonomic factors of examination circumstances affect on success of Kocaeli University Industry Engineering Department students has been designated by the use of statistical methods. These ergonomic factors of examination circumstance which can be considered to be affective on student's performance in a learning situation; lighting, temperature and ventilation, noisy area, the condition of desks and even the structure of tables, matter of dust in class have been involved as the investigation variables. Surveys which were put in practice for the student's benefits were used as the investigating method in obtaining the datum which is in relation to these variables. The results of survey are illustrated in graphs and Ki-Square hypothesis test is used for the evaluation of it. In addition to this, the exam success statistics of the students and exam schedules are evaluated together with the survey results and it has been comprehended that there is a reasonable relation in between. The thesis is made up of three parts. In the first part, the aim coverage and the limits of the research have been implied and the judgement has been made. In the second part, general information about the ergonomic factors have been given and theğ factors which influence the success and the performance of the students has been debated; Furthermore general information about the type of research, hypothesis and the statistical method used have been given and also application of the survey results to the statistical method and the results obtained have been presented. In the third part the conclusion where the research findings are overviewed and an overall assessment is used. II
