Özet
Bu çalışma, yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin, iyi ölüm algısı ve manevi destek algısı arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla yapılan tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel nitelikte nicel bir araştırmadır. Araştırma, Kasım 2023- Ocak 2024 tarihleri arasında Karabük Üniversitesi Eğitim Araştırma Hastanesi yoğun bakım ünitelerinde çalışan 119 hemşire ile yürütüldü. Araştırmada veriler, kişisel bilgi formu, iyi ölüm ölçeği, manevi destek algısı ölçeği kullanılarak toplandı. Verilerin analizi bilgisayar ortamında SPSS paket programı ile değerlendirildi. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler (yüzde, frekans, ortalama, standart sapma) ile parametrik testler ve non parametrik testler kullanıldı. p<0.05 değeri istatistiksel olarak anlamlı kabul edildi. Çalışmanın sonucunda yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin manevi destek algısı ölçeği toplam puanı ile İyi Ölüm ölçeği toplam puanı ve alt boyut puanları arasında pozitif yönde orta düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu tespit edildi. Hemşirelerin manevi destek algısını etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesi amacıyla oluşturulan çoklu regresyon analizi modelinin anlamlı olduğu ve varyansın %47'sini açıkladığı belirlendi. Buna göre manevi destek algısını etkileyen faktörler sırasıyla, hemşirelerin iyi ölüm algısı düzeyi, yenidoğan yoğun bakımda çalışma ve iyi ölümün mümkün olduğunu düşünme olarak tespit edildi. Sonuç olarak; yoğun bakım hemşirelerinin, iyi ölüm algılarının ve manevi destek algılarının yüksek olması önemli bir bulgudur. Ancak çalışma, hemşirelerin iyi ölüm ve manevi destek algılarının ne kadarının yaşam sonu hemşirelik bakımına yansıdığını göstermemektedir. Gelecekte yapılacak olan çalışmalarda yaşamının son anlarını yaşayan hastada, iyi ölümün ve manevi desteğin karşılanma durumunun incelenmesinin alana katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

This study is a descriptive, cross-sectional, quantitative study conducted to determine the relationship between intensive care nurses' perception of good death and perception of spiritual support. The study was conducted with 119 nurses working in the intensive care units of Karabük University Training and Research Hospital between November 2023 and January 2024. Data were collected in the study using a personal information form, Good Death scale, and spiritual support perception scale. Data analysis was evaluated using the SPSS package program in a computer environment. Descriptive statistics (percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation) and parametric and non-parametric tests were used in the evaluation of the data. The value of p<0.05 was considered statistically significant. As a result of the study, it was determined that there was a positive and moderately significant relationship between the total score of the intensive care nurses' perception of spiritual support scale and the total score and sub-dimension scores of the good death scale. The multiple regression analysis model created to examine the factors affecting nurses' perception of spiritual support was found to be significant and explained 47% of the variance. Accordingly, the factors affecting the perception of spiritual support were determined to be the nurses' level of perception of good death, working in neonatal intensive care, and thinking that a good death is possible, respectively. In conclusion; the high perception of good death and spiritual support of intensive care nurses is an important finding. However, the study does not show how much of the nurses' perception of good death and spiritual support is reflected in end-of-life nursing care. It's thought that future studies examining the situation of receiving good death and spiritual support in patients experiencing the last moments of their lives will contribute to the field.
