Özet
Günümüz tüketim toplumunda giderek artan ihtiyaçlar döngüsünde sınırlı kaynaklar giderek azalmaktadır. Özellikle hızlı kentleşme politikaları ve buna bağlı olarak gelişen toplumsal yaşamdaki değişiklikler; sosyal, ekonomik ve çevresel sorunlara neden olmaktadır. Yeni bir yaşam şekli ve şehirleşme yapısı olarak karşımıza çıkan“yavaş şehir(cittasslow)”akımı, bu düzenin aksine küçük şehirlerde sakin ve sürdürülebilir bir yaşam oluşturmayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu akıma dahil olan pek çok şehir mevcut potansiyellerini sürdürülebilir kılarak, hızlı yaşam şeklinden uzak kalmayı tercih etmektedir. Bu bağlamda çalışmada;“yavaş şehir”kavramına dikkat çekmek, sürdürülebilir yaşam alanlarının toplumsal yapıya katkıları konusunda farkındalık oluşturmak ve bu doğrultuda alanyazına katkı sağlamak hedefleriyle bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci bölümünde tez konusunun önemi açıklanarak tezin amaç, kapsam, yöntem ve hedefleri açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde;“sürdürülebilir kentleşme”ve“yavaş şehir (cittaslow)”kavramları ele alınarak Türkiye ve Dünyadan örnekler ile açıklanmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde; tez çalışmasının örneklemini oluşturan Yozgat- Çekerek ilçesi ile ilgili kapsamlı bir doküman analizi yapılmıştır. Yavaş şehir kriterleri dikkate alınarak ilçenin altyapısı ortaya konmuştur. Dördüncü bölümde; Çekerek'te yaşayan 20 kişi ile yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat formu aracılığıyla görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşme sonuçları NVIVO 15.00 paket programında analiz edilmiş ve 8 farklı tema oluşturulmuştur. Bulgu olarak, Şehir sakinlerinin genel olarak ilçenin yavaş şehir potansiyelini olumlu buldukları sonucu elde edilmiştir. İlçenin mevcut durumu mülakat sonuçları ile birlikte ele alınarak değerlendirilmiştir. Beşinci bölümde, çalışmanın sonuçları ortaya konmuş ve geliştirilmesi gereken noktalar için öneriler getirilmiştir.

In today's consumer society, limited resources are gradually decreasing in the cycle of increasing needs. Especially rapid urbanization policies and the changes in social life that develop accordingly cause social, economic and environmental problems. The“slow city”movement, which emerges as a new lifestyle and urbanization structure, aims to create a calm and sustainable life in small cities, contrary to this order. Many cities included in this movement prefer to stay away from the fast lifestyle by making their existing potential sustainable. In this context, a research was conducted with the aim of drawing attention to the concept of“slow city”, creating awareness about the contributions of sustainable living spaces to the social structure and contributing to the literature in this direction. In the first part of the research, the importance of the thesis topic is explained and the aim, scope, method and objectives of the thesis are explained. In the second part; the concepts of“sustainable urbanization”and“slow city”are discussed and explained with examples from Turkey and the World. In the third part; a comprehensive document analysis is made about Yozgat-Çekerek district, which is the sample of the thesis study. The infrastructure of the district is revealed by taking into account the slow city criteria. In the fourth part; interviews were conducted with 20 people living in Çekerek through a semi-structured interview form. The interview results were analyzed in the NVIVO 15.00 package program and 8 different themes were created. As a result, it was concluded that the city residents generally found the slow city potential of the district positive. The current situation of the district was evaluated together with the interview results. In the fifth chapter, the results of the study are presented and suggestions are made for the points that need improvement.
