Özet

İnsanlığın varoluşundan günümüze kadar gelen müzik hayatımızda önemli bir yere sahiptir. Müziğin birçok önemli etkileri yanında tedavilerde kullanımı oldukça dikkat çekmiştir. Müziğin tedavi ile birlikte kullanımı ilk kez Türklerde görülmektedir. Türklerde görüldüğü gibi İslam devletlerinde de çeşitli doktor ve müzikologlar tarafından araştırmalara konu olan müzikle tedavi, makamların insanlar üzerinde tesiri ile açıklanmaya çalışılmış ve bunun üzerine çeşitli araştırmalar yapılmıştır. Dünya genelinde yapılan araştırmalar dâhilinde ise geçmiş zamanda Antik Yunan, Çin ve Mısır'da da müzikle tedaviye dair çalışmaların yapıldığı görülmektedir. Dünya'da yaşanan gelişmeler doğrultusunda zamanla müzik terapinin müfredat ihtiyacı doğmuş ve bu bağlamda müfredat geliştirilerek eğitimler daha sistemli bir şekile getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Günümüzde müzik terapi eğitimlerinin birçok ülkede lisans, lisansüstü ve doktora eğitimi şeklinde verildiği görülmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı; Yurt dışındaki üniversitelerde mevcut“müzik terapi”yüksek lisans programlarını; ders isimleri, yapısı, mezuniyet sonrası istihdam alanı özellikleri bağlamında incelemek ve bu yolla Ülkemizde açılacak olan Müzik Terapi Yüksek Lisans programlarına kaynak oluşturmasıdır. Araştırmada durum çalışması modeli kullanılmıştır. Veriler doküman analizi yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Google aracılığıyla ilk olarak“Music therapy master programs”anahtar kelimesiyle müzik terapi eğitim programları sunan masterportal sitesine ulaşılmıştır. Site içerisinde tekrar“musıc therapy”anahtar kelimesi kullanılarak tarama yapılmış ve 45 adet müzik terapi yüksek lisans programı olduğu saptanmıştır. Örneklem olarak beş kıta seçilmiştir. Veriler içerik analizi tekniği ile çözümlenmiştir. Üç ana tema oluşturulmuştur ve bunlar alt problem olarak yazılmıştır. Bulgular alt problemler yoluyla raporlanarak sonuçlanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre Dünya'da beş bölgede müzik terapi yüksek lisans eğitimleri verildiği, bu eğitimlere giriş yapabilmek için her üniversitenin ayrı gereksinimi olduğu, ders isimleri bakımından da benzerlikler ve farklılıklar gösterdiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca bu bölgelerde müzik terapi mezuniyet sonrası istihdam alanlarına bakıldığında ise genellikle hastaneler, klinikler, rehabilitasyon merkezleri, okullar, bakım evleri, ıslah evleri ve darülacezeler olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Music has an important place in our lives since the existence of humanity. In addition to many important effects of music, its use in treatments has attracted considerable attention. The use of music with treatment is first seen in the Turks. As seen in the Turks, treatment with music, which has been the subject of research by various doctors and musicologists in Islamic states, has been tried to be explained by the effect of maqams on people and various researches have been conducted on this. Within the researches conducted throughout the world, it is seen that studies on music therapy were carried out in Ancient Greece, China and Egypt in the past. In line with the developments in the world, the need for a curriculum for music therapy arose over time and in this context, the curriculum was developed and the trainings were tried to be brought to a more systematic way. Today, it is seen that music therapy education is given as undergraduate, graduate and doctoral education in many countries. The aim of this research is to examine the existing“music therapy”master's programs in universities abroad in the context of course names, structure, post-graduation employment area characteristics and in this way to create a resource for Music Therapy Master's programs to be opened in our country. Case study model was used in the research. Data were collected by document analysis method. First, the masterportal site offering music therapy education programs was accessed through Google with the keyword“Music therapy master programs”. The site was again searched using the keyword“music therapy”and it was found that there were 45 music therapy master's programs. Five continents were selected as the sample. The data were analyzed by content analysis technique. Three main themes were formed and these were written as sub-problems. The findings were reported and finalized through sub-problems. According to the results of the research, it was seen that music therapy postgraduate education is provided in five regions of the world, that each university has different requirements for admission to these educations, and that there are similarities and differences in terms of course names. In addition, it was concluded that the areas of employment after graduation in music therapy in these regions are generally hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, schools, nursing homes, correctional homes and hospices.
