Özet
Bu çalışma, lise öğrencilerinde gelecek kaygısı (umutsuzluk) ve okul tükenmişliği arasındaki ilişkinin ne düzeyde olduğunu incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada;“Lise öğrencilerinde gelecek kaygısı ve okul tükenmişliği arasındaki ilişki ne düzeydedir?”Problemi çerçevesinde, nicel araştırma yöntemleri ve ilişkisel tarama deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, gelecek kaygısı ve okul tükenmişliği arasındaki ilişkiyi çok sayıda değişken açısından lise öğrencileri örneklemi üzerinden ele alan ilk çalışma olması bakımından özgün ve önemlidir. Araştırmanın evrenini Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti, Yozgat ili, Boğazlıyan ilçesinde bulunan resmi liselerde öğrenim görmekte olan 1453 lise öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, basit seçkisiz örnekleme modeliyle seçilen 730 lise öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Veri toplama sürecinde katılımcılara anketler yüz yüze sınıf ortamında uygulanmıştır. Veriler, kişisel bilgi formu, 20 sorudan oluşan Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği, 9 sorudan oluşan Okul Tükenmişlik Ölçeği uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Analizlerde % 95 güven aralığı ve p< 0.05 değeri esas alınmıştır. Gelecek kaygısı ve okul tükenmişliği arasındaki ilişki Pearson Korelasyon Analizi ile test edilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda lise öğrencilerindeki gelecek kaygısı ve okul tükenmişliği arasında istatistiksel olarak negatif yönlü ve düşük düzeyde ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bir ülkenin gelecek için en büyük sermayesi olan genç neslin gelecek kaygısı ve okul tükenmişliği düzeylerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesinin; mevcut araştırmanın konusu ile ilgili problemlerin tespit edilmesinde; problemlere çözüm üretilmesinde, çözümlerin uygulanmasında ve bu alanda yapılacak diğer akademik çalışmalara örnek olması bakımından faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir.

This study was conducted to examine the level of the relationship between future anxiety (hopelessness) and school burnout in high school students. In the research;“What is the level of relationship between future anxiety and school burnout in high school students?”Within the framework of the problem, quantitative research methods and relational screening design were used. The research is original and important in that it is the first study to examine the relationship between future anxiety and school burnout in terms of many variables, through a sample of high school students. The participants of the research were consisted of 1453 high school students who study at official high schools in the State of the Republic of Turkey, Yozgat province, Boğazlıyan district. The sample of the study consists of 730 high school students who were selected with a simple random sampling model. During the data collection process, questionnaires were applied to the participants in a face-to-face classroom setting. Data were collected by applying a personal information form, Beck Hopelessness Scale consisting of 20 questions, and School Burnout Scale consisting of 9 questions. The analysis was based on 95% confidence interval and p< 0.05. The relationship between future anxiety and school burnout was tested with Pearson Correlation Analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that there is a statistically inverse and low level relationship between future anxiety and school burnout in high school students. It has been concluded that, examining various variables the future anxiety and school burnout levels of the young generation who is the biggest capital of a country for the future; in identifying the problems related to the subject of the current research; it is concluded that will be useful in producing solutions to problems, applying solutions and being an example for other academic studies to be done in this field.
