Türk televizyonlarındaki suç odaklı realıty showlarda mahremiyet ve kamusal alan kavramlarının dönüşümü

Özet

Bu çalışma suç odaklı reality showlarda kamusal alan ve mahremiyet kavramlarının dönüşümünü incelemiştir. Reality showlar her dönemde popüler olmakla birlikte içerisinde barındırdığı suç odaklı reality show türü ile günümüzde tekrar popüler olmuştur. İzleyiciler tarafından büyük ilgi gören bu programlar yaygınlaşarak yüksek reyting oranlarına sahip olmuşlardır. Programlara sorunlarını çözmek için gelen kişiler bu süreçteki deneyimlerini anlatırken hem kendisinin hem de olayla ilgili diğer kişilerin özel hayatlarını kamusal alanda ifşa ve deşifre etmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı, programa katılan kişilere sunulan yardım etme, destek olma, sorunlarını çözme gibi vaatler verilirken, bu süreçte kişilerin özel hayat ve mahremiyet kavramlarına uygunluğunun incelenmesidir. Programda kişilere sorunlarını yakın bir dosta anlatılır gibi bir ortam yaratılması, kişilerin özel hayatlarını, mahremiyet kavramı çerçevesinden uzaklaştırarak kamusal alanda ifşa etmesi çalışmanın temel problemini oluşturmuştur. Çalışmada halen yayınlanmakta olan en eski ve total ilk 10' da yer alan suç odaklı reality showlar örnekleme alınarak programlardaki olay örgüleri içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma; program sunucuları katılımcı kişilerin mahremiyetine uygun davranıyor mu, sunucular özel hayatı ifşa etmeye yönelik sorular soruyor mu ve müdahale ediyor mu sorularına cevap aramıştır. Bu soruların sonucu doğrultusunda programa katılan kişilerin kamusal alanda özel hayat ve mahremiyetlerinin program sunucuları tarafından korunmadığı, kişilerin hayatlarına ifşa ve deşifre edici eylemlerde bulunarak kişilerin özel hayatlarına müdahale edildiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca programlar da mağdur ve suçlu kişilerin yaşadığı olayların gerçekliğinden uzaklaşarak olayları sansasyonelleştirme ve magazinleştirme unsurlarıyla verildiği de görülmüştür.

This study examines the transformation of the concepts of public space and privacy in crime-focused reality shows. Reality shows have always been popular. However, reality show genres that contain criminal elements have reached great popularity again nowadays. These programs are attracted great attention by the audience are very common and have high ratings. People who participated in these kind of reality shows to solve their problems stated that both their own and other people's private lives were exposed and deciphered in the public sphere. The aim of the research was to examine whether the promises given to the guests of the programs such as helping, supporting and solving their problems were fulfilled or not. In addition, approaches to the guests' private lives were scrutinized for relevance. The main issues that form the basis of the study are to create an environment where the guests can explain their problems as if they were explained to a close friend in the program and to expose the participants in the public space by distracting them from the concept of privacy in their private lives. In the study, the plots in the mentioned programs were analyzed by content analysis, via taking samples from the oldest crime-oriented reality shows in the top 10 reality show which are still on the TV. Research conducted on some key questions. These are, 'Do the hosts of the reality shows respect the privacy of the participants', 'Do the hosts ask questions to reveal private lives of their guests' or 'Is there any malicious interference by the hosts'. This research sought answers to these questions. In the direction of the results of these questions, it has been determined by the program hosts that the private lives and privacy of the people participating in the program are not protected in the public sphere. However, it has been observed that the private lives of these people have been interfered with by revealing and deciphering actions. Also, it has been determined that the events experienced by the victims and criminals in these programs are removed from reality. In addition, it has been determined that the situations are tried to be more sensational and tabloidized in terms of getting more rating.
