Doç.Dr. Aylin Ege Ocak 1999, 97 sayfa Bu çalışmada, Türk ekonomisinin genel ve sektörel rekabet gücü tartışılmıştır. Rekabet gücünün tanımı ve belirleyicileri, genel ve sektörel rekabet gücü üzerine yapılan çalışmalar ve Avrupa'nın rekabet gücü düzeyi incelendikten sonra, Türk ekonomisinin genel ve sektörel rekabet gücü tartışılmıştır. Daha sonra, nominal ve efektif koruma oranları incelenerek, sektörel rekabet gücü sonuçları koruma oranları çerçevesinde yorumlanmıştır.

ABSTRACT A SELECTIVE STUDY OF OVERALL AND SECTORAL COMPETITIVENESS OF TURKISH ECONOMY Bayrak, Hande M.S., Department of Economics Supervisor: Asst. Prof. Dr. Aylin Ege January 1999, 97 pages This thesis evaluates the overall and sectoral competitiveness of Turkish economy. After the evaluation of definition and determinants of competitiveness, recent studies on overall and sectoral competitiveness and the competitive performance of European economy as the major trading partner of Turkey, the overall and sectoral competitiveness of Turkish economy are discussed. Finally, nominal and effective protection rates are examined and results of sectoral competitiveness are interpreted together with these protection rates.
