Özet

Teknolojinin etkileri eğitim alanına yansımakta ve özellikle son yıllarda öğretim programlarında teknoloji destekli materyallere yer verilmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaöğretim İngilizce öğretim programında teknoloji destekli materyallere ne sıklıkla yer verildiği, en çok hangi teknoloji destekli materyallerin kullanıldığı ve bu materyallerin kullanımının sınıf içindeki yansımalarına ilişkin öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ankara ili Keçiören ilçesinde Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı Anadolu liselerinde yer alan 9., 10., 11. ve 12. Sınıf İngilizce öğretmenleri ve 9., 10. ve 11. sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşlerine etkili bir şekilde ulaşabilmek amacıyla nicel ve nitel verilerin toplandığı karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Nicel veriler araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan anket, nitel veriler ise yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Anketten elde edilen veriler SPSS programı kullanılarak, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan elde edilen veriler ise içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular analiz edildiğinde hem öğretmen hem de öğrenci görüşleri arasında paralellik gözlemlenmiştir. Öğretmenler ve öğrenciler teknoloji destekli materyal kullanımı sayesinde İngilizce öğretim sürecinin kolaylaştığını, kalıcı öğrenmeler meydana geldiğini ve motivasyonu arttırdığı yönünde görüşler bildirmişlerdir. Ayrıca teknoloji destekli materyallerin derslerin farklı aşamalarında kullanıldığı, öğretmenlerin ve öğrencilerin en çok kullandığı teknoloji destekli öğretim materyalinin akıllı tahta olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda elde edilen verilerin, MEB program geliştirme uzmanlarına, alan uzmanlarına ve öğretmenlere, ortaöğretim İngilizce öğretim programında teknoloji destekli materyallerin kullanımına ilişkin önemli katkılar getirmesi beklenmektedir.

The effects of technology are seen in the field of education and technology-supported materials are included in the teaching programs recently. The target of this research is to determine the extent to which technology supported materials are included in the secondary education English curriculum and to determine the opinions of teachers and students on the reflections of the usage of these materials in the classroom. The study group of the research consists of 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade English teachers and 9th, 10th and 11th grade students in Anatolian high schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the province of Ankara in the 2022-2023 academic year. In the research, mixed research method has been used so as to reach the opinions of teachers and students in the most accurate way. The research is a mixed study in which not only quantitative but also qualitative data have been collected. Quantitative data has been collected using a questionnaire prepared by the researcher, and qualitative data has been collected using a semi-structured interview form. The data obtained from the questionnaire has been analyzed by using the SPSS program, and the data obtained from the semi-structured interview form has been analyzed with the content analysis method. When the findings have been analyzed, parallelism has been observed between the views of both teachers and students. Teachers and students have stated that thanks to the use of technology-supported materials, the English teaching process has become easier and permanent learning has occurred. Also, students' motivation to learn the target language has increased. In addition, it has been concluded that technology supported materials are used at different stages of the lessons, and the most used technology supported teaching material by teachers and students is smart board. The data obtained at the end of the research is expected to provide feedback to the MEB curriculum development experts, field experts and teachers regarding the usage of technology supported materials in the secondary education English curriculum.
