Door to door human air transportation opens a new page in aviation history. The growing demand for cost-effective alternative to aircraft and high-performance passenger helicopters signifies the need of electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles today. The urban air transportation system needs to be clean, safe, reliable and efficient to give a solution for increasing population and traffic. Additionally, the size of air vehicle is constrained by high density residential area. With the scope of these needs, 1 passenger eVTOL air vehicle`s conceptual was designed by Professor Shijun Guo. The Tiara is an eco-friendly electric vehicle which is as flexible as helicopters and as fast as aircraft. The box-tilt-morphing wing is the key conceptual features of the Tiara. This thesis presents the work carried out by the author on aerodynamic analysis of the Tiara electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft in different flight modes. The objective of the author is to investigate aerodynamic behaviour of the Tiara since it has a novel configuration. The work involves performing a high-fidelity computational fluid dynamic simulation on this e-VTOL for all flight modes which are vertical take-off, hover, transition and cruise. Moreover, different design configuration was analysed to find suitable design. Furthermore, the development of the Tiara is presented.
