Özet
Bu çalışma,“Atatürk Dönemi”olarak da kabul edilebilecek Cumhuriyet'in ilk döneminde (1923-1938) yaşanan dinî hayatı, dinî hayatı etkileyen devrimleri, bu devrimlerin tarihsel ve düşünsel kökenlerini, devrimlerin günümüze kadar uzanan psiko-sosyal etkilerini incelemek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda öncelikle Cumhuriyet dönemi değişimlerinin tarihsel ve düşünsel kökenleri olarak Osmanlı modernleşme dönemi, dinî hayata etkileri bakımından ele alınmış, Cumhuriyet'in kuruluşundan sonra dinî hayatı etkileyen devrimler ve etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma neticesinde Cumhuriyet'in ilanı ile başlayan süreçte, tarihsel kökenleri olmakla birlikte, keskin bir kırılmanın yaşandığı, laik devrimler olarak nitelendirilen düzenlemelerin hayata geçirilmesinde Mustafa Kemal Atatürk'ün belirleyici bir rol oynadığı, bu devrimlerin dinî hayatı sadece siyasi alanda değil, bireysel ve sosyal alanda da sınırlandırdığı, dönemin uygulamalarının halk üzerindeki psiko-sosyal etkilerinin yanında günümüzde de devam eden yeni dinî anlayışlara kapı araladığı görülmüştür.

This study aims to examine the early period of the Republic (1923-1938), also known as“the Atatürk period,”in terms of the religious life that existed at the time, the revolutions that had an impact on religious life, the historical and philosophical roots of these revolutions, as well as the psycho-social consequences of these revolutions, which continue to have an impact on the present day. In this context, the present work deals, first of all, with the Ottoman modernization period, as that is the period to which the historical and intellectual origins of the changes of the Republican period go back in terms of their impact on religious life. Next, it evaluates the revolutions that affected religious life after the founding of the Republic as well as their effects. This study finds that the process, whose historical origins go further back in time, turned into a fully-fledged revolution with the proclamation of the Republic and caused a sharp fracture in religious life, and that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk played a decisive role in the implementation of the arrangements of the secular revolutions. These revolutions limited religious life not only in the political sphere but also in the individual and social spheres. The present work finally reveals that the mandates of the period not only had psychosocial impacts on the public, but also opened the door for new religious pursuits, the impacts of which continue to exist to this day.
