Özet
Eğitim çocuğun yetişkin bireye dönüşüm sürecinin kendisi ve toplum için en faydalı şekilde gerçekleşmesini sağlayan disiplindir. En faydalı sonucun nasıl alınacağına dair tarih boyunca her ülke farklı stratejiler geliştirmektedir. Bu stratejilerin uygulanma alanı olan okulların eğitim sürecine çeşitli etkileri mevcuttur. Yapı eğitim programının uygulandığı mekânları sunar, öğrenciyle fiziksel-sosyal ve psikolojik açılardan ilişki kurar, eğitim süreci esnasında çevresel etkilerden korur. Okul yapısının tasarımı bu rollerin başarısını önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Literatürde bu etkilerin hangi bağlamlarda ve nasıl gerçekleştiğine dair pek çok çalışma kesin kanıtlar ve korelasyonlar sunmuştur. Ülkeler çeşitli gerekçelerle okul yapılarını yenilemektedir. Zaman kısıtlaması ve stratejik kolaylık sebebiyle bu yenilemeler belirli durumlarda toplu programlar vasıtasıyla gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu programlar çok sayıda okulu nispeten kısa süre içerisinde inşa edeceği ve bu okulların yapı ömrü boyunca çok sayıda öğrenciyi ve ilgili topluluğu etkileyeceği için, bu programlarda okul tasarımının nasıl yapılacağı önemli bir çalışma alanıdır. Bu kapsamda tarihsel süreçte okul tasarımına yönelik hangi ögelerin hangi dönemlerde hangi gereksinimlere cevap olarak ortaya çıktığı tespit edilmiştir. Bunun üzerine literatürde bu ögeler içerisinde mekânsal karşılığı olanlar ayıklanarak hangi ögelerin öğrenci başarısına etki ettiği tespit edilerek dönüşüm programlarında bu ögelerin nasıl kullanıldığı araştırılmıştır. Böylece toplu okul dönüşüm programlarında bahsedilen risklerin doğmaması için etkisi kanıtlanmış ögelerin mutlaka temin edilmiş olması gerekliliği ispatlanmaya çalışılmıştır.

Education is the discipline that enables the transformation of the child into an adult in the most beneficial way for himself/herself and society. Throughout history, each country has developed different strategies to obtain the most effective result. Schools, which are the application areas of these strategies, have various effects on the education process. The building environment offers the places where the education program is applied, establishes a physical, social and psychological relationship with the student, and protects them from environmental effects during the education process. The design of the school building significantly affects the success of these roles. Recent studies in the literature have provided clear evidence and correlations on how and in which contexts these effects occur. Countries renew their school buildings for various reasons. Due to time constraints and strategic convenience, these renewals are carried out in certain cases through collective programs. In these programs, how to design the school is an important field of study since these programs will build many schools in a relatively short time and these schools will affect large numbers of students and communities over the life of the building. In this context, it has been determined which elements for school design emerged in response to which requirements in which periods in the historical process. Thereupon, the spatial equivalents of these elements in the literature were determined and elements that affected student success and how these elements were used in transformation programs were examined. Thus, to avoid the risks mentioned in collective school transformation programs, it has been tried to demonstrate that the elements with proven effects must be provided.
