Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı yedinci sınıf çokgenler konusunda eğitsel oyunlarla zenginleştirilen matematik öğretiminde öğrencilerin matematik başarısı ve tutumlarına etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmada karma araştırma yöntemlerinden açıklayıcı sıralı desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında Konya ili Karapınar ilçesinde bulunan Mustafa Şener Ortaokulu'nun iki yedinci sınıf şubesindeki 32 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Yedinci sınıflardan kura ile bir sınıf deney grubu diğer sınıf kontrol grubu olarak seçilmiştir. Uygulama süresince matematik dersinde“Çokgenler”konusu, deney grubunda eğitsel oyunlarla işlenirken kontrol grubunda mevcut öğretim programına göre işlenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak matematiğe yönelik tutum ölçeği, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen başarı testi ve deney grubuna uygulanmak üzere öğrenci görüş formları kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada hem nicel hem nitel veriler elde edilmiştir. Uygulamada elde edilen nicel veriler TAP ve SPSS 26 programları kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Veriler çözümlenirken deney ve kontrol grupları arasındaki karşılaştırmalarda“Bağımsız Grup T Testi”kullanılırken grupların kendi içerisindeki ön test-son test karşılaştırmalarında“Bağımlı Grup T Testi”kullanılmıştır. Deney grubundaki öğrencilerin eğitsel oyunlara yönelik görüşleri için geliştirilen Öğrenci Görüş Formundan elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubundaki öğrencilerin matematik başarı testi puanları karşılaştırıldığında deney grubunda matematik başarısının arttığı görülürken matematiğe yönelik tutum ölçeği puanlarına göre gruplar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunamamıştır. Öğrenci Görüş Formundan elde edilen verilere göre öğrenciler genellikle olumlu görüşler belirtmiş ve eğitsel oyunlarla eğlenerek öğrendiklerini ifade etmişlerdir.

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of mathematics teaching enriched with educational games on seventh grade polygons on students' mathematics achievement and attitudes. Explanatory sequential design, one of the mixed research methods, was used in the research. The sample of the research consists of 32 students in two seventh grade branches of Mustafa Şener Secondary School located in Karapınar district of Konya province in the 2021-2022 academic year. From the seventh graders, one class experimental group was selected as the other class control group by drawing lots. During the application, the subject of“Polygons”in the mathematics lesson was taught with educational games in the experimental group, while in the control group, it was taught according to the current curriculum. An attitude scale towards mathematics, an achievement test developed by the researcher, and student opinion forms for the experimental group were used as data collection tools. Both quantitative and qualitative data were obtained in the study. Quantitative data obtained in the application were analyzed using TAP and SPSS 26 programs. While the data were being analyzed, the“Independent Group T Test”was used for comparisons between the experimental and control groups, while the“Dependent Group T Test”was used for the pretest-posttest comparisons within the groups. Content analysis was conducted to analyze the data obtained from the Student Opinion Form developed for the opinions of the students in the experimental group about educational games. When the mathematics achievement test scores of the students in the experimental and control groups were compared, it was observed that the mathematics achievement in the experimental group increased, but there was no significant difference between the groups according to the scores of the attitude scale towards mathematics. According to the data obtained from the Student Opinion Form, the students generally expressed positive opinions and stated that they learned by having fun with educational games.
