Özet
COVID-19 salgını çağımızın en önemli sağlık ve ekonomik krizlerinden birisi olarak tarihe adını kazımıştır. Bu kriz her ne kadar bir sağlık krizi olarak ortaya çıksa da zaman içerisinde önemli ekonomik etkileri olduğu da görülmüştür. Bu bağlamda, COVID-19 salgınının ekonomik etkilerinin incelenmesi önem arz etmektedir. Bu tez çalışmasının amacı COVID-19 pandemisinin Türkiye'de yer alan teknoloji sektörü firmalarının finansal performansı üzerindeki etkisinin araştırılmasıdır. Bu amaçla, çalışmada pay senetleri Borsa İstanbul'da işlem gören teknoloji sektörü firmalarının finansal performansı çok kriterli karar yöntemlerinden birisi olan TOPSİS yöntemi ile incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme COVID-19 salgını öncesi olan 2019 yılı ve salgının yaşandığı yıl olan 2020 yılı için karşılaştırılmalı olarak yapılmıştır. Tez çalışmasının bulguları salgın öncesinde ve salgın sürecinde en başarılı performansı gösteren işletmenin LINK kodlu şirket olduğunu göstermiştir. Öte yandan, salgın öncesinde en başarılı performans gösteren diğer şirketler FONET ve KRONT kodlu şirketler iken salgın sürecinde bu durum değişmiş, başarılı şirketler SMART ve LOGO kodlu işletmeler olmuştur. Araştırmanın sonuçları COVID-19 salgınının Türkiye'de yer alan halka açık teknoloji şirketlerinin finansal performansında, yalnızca en yüksek performansa ve en düşük performansa sahip işletmeleri etkilediğini göstermiştir. Diğer ortalama finansal performans gösteren işletmelerin başarı sıralaması görece sabit kalmış, kayda değer değişiklikler göstermemişlerdir.

The COVID-19 pandemic has engraved its name in history as one of the most important health and economic crises of our time. Although this crisis emerged as a health crisis, it has also been seen that it has important economic effects over time. In this context, it is important to examine the economic effects of the COVID-19 outbreak. The aim of this thesis study is to investigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the financial performance of technology sector firms in Turkey. For this purpose, the financial performance of technology sector companies whose stocks are traded in Borsa Istanbul is examined with the TOPSIS method, which is one of the multi-criteria decision methods. This review was made comparatively for the year 2019, which was the pre-COVID-19 outbreak, and 2020, the year when the epidemic occurred. The findings of the thesis study showed that the company with the most successful performance before the epidemic and during the epidemic was the company with the LINK code. On the other hand, while the other companies with the most successful performance before the epidemic were companies with the code FONET and KRONT, this situation changed during the epidemic process, and successful companies became businesses with the code SMART and LOGO. The results of the study showed that the COVID-19 outbreak only affected the highest performing and lowest performing enterprises in the financial performance of publicly traded technology companies in Turkey. The success ranking of the other average financial performance companies remained relatively stable and did not show any significant changes.
