Özet
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, 66- 72 aylık çocukların okul olgunluğunu ölçmede Bilişsel Değerlendirme Sistemi (CAS) ve Metropolitan Olgunluk Testi arasında ilişki olup olmadığını incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda İstanbul ilinde anasınıfı eğitimi alan 66- 72 aylık toplam 51 öğrenciye Bilişsel Değerlendirme Sistemi (CAS) ile Metropolitan Olgunluk Testi uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca sosyo- demografik bilgiler edinmek amacıyla öğrencilerin velilerine Kişisel Bilgi Formu doldurtulmuştur. Araştırmada iki ölçme aracının puanları normal dağılım göstermediğinden ve ayrıca iki ölçme aracı arasında sıralı ölçekler arasındaki farklar incelendiğinden non- parametrik istatistiksel tekniklerden Wilcoxon Z Testi, Ki Kare Bağımsızlık Testi, Mann Whitney U Testi ve Kruskal Wallis Homojenlik Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, Bilişsel Değerlendirme Sistemi (CAS) ve Metropolitan Olgunluk Testi toplam sıralı puan grupları arasında anlamlı bir fark yoktur ve iki testin sonucu birbirine bağımlıdır. İki ölçme aracının alt ölçek sıralı puan grupları arasında anlamlı fark tespit edilmiştir. İki veri toplama aracının da toplam puanlarına göre öğrencilerin okul olgunluğu düzeylerinin; cinsiyete, kardeş sayısına, doğum sırasına, okul türüne, ailenin aylık ekonomik gelir düzeyi, anne ve babanın mezuniyet düzeyine göre farklılaşmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Bilişsel Değerlendirme Sistemi (CAS)' nden farklı olarak; Metropolitan Olgunluk Testi' ne göre, yaş grupları arasında okul olgunluğu düzeyi yaşı büyük olanların lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede farklılaşmaktadır.

The main purpose of this research is to examine whether there is a relationship between the Cognitive Assessment System (CAS) and the Metropolitan Readiness Test in measuring the school readiness of 66-72 months old children. For this purpose, Cognitive Assessment System (CAS) and Metropolitan Readiness Test were applied to 51 students aged 66-72 months who received kindergarten education in Istanbul. In addition, in order to obtain socio-demographic information, the students' parents were asked to fill out the Personal Information Form. Non-parametric statistical techniques Wilcoxon Z Test, Chi-Square Test of Independence, Mann Whitney U Test and Kruskal Wallis Homogeneity Test were used since the scores of the two measurement instruments did not show normal distribution in the study and the differences between the ordinal scales were also examined. According to the results of the study, there is no significant difference between the Cognitive Assessment System (CAS) and Metropolitan Readiness Test total ordinal score groups, and the results of the two tests are interdependent. A significant difference was found between the subscale ordinal score groups of the two measurement tools. According to the total scores of the two data collection tools, the school readiness levels of the students; It has been determined that there is no difference according to gender, number of siblings, birth order, school type, monthly economic income level of the family, and graduation level of the parents. Unlike the Cognitive Assessment System (CAS); According to the Metropolitan Readiness Test, the level of school readiness among age groups differs statistically in favor of the older ones.
