Özet
Cilt çeşitli malzemelerden yapılan, kitap veya bir mecmuanın sayfalarını bir arada toplu tutmasını sağlamaktadır. Kitap sanatları içerisinde önemli bir yere sahip olan cilt sanatı yüzyıllarca kullanılmıştır. Çeşitli sanat kollarında olduğu gibi cilt sanatı da Osmanlı döneminde en parlak dönemini görmüş ve sanat değeri yüksek eserler meydana getirmişlerdir. Araştırmamız Bor Halil Nuri Bey İlçe Halk Kütüphanesine ait Osmanlı dönemi ciltlerinden örnekleri teşkil etmektedir. Türk Cilt Sanatı ile ilgili olan çalışmamız altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümünde; Giriş ana başlığı altında“Konunun Tanımı, Amacı ve Sınırları”,“Yöntem”,“Konuyla ilgili Literatür”,“Bor Halil Nuri Bey İlçe Halk Kütüphanesi”bulunmaktadır. İkinci bölümünde; Türk Cilt Sanatı ana başlığı altında“Cildin Bölümleri”,“Kapağın Bölümleri”,“Ciltte Kullanılan Malzemeler”,“Ciltte Kullanılan Aletler”,“Cilt Çeşitleri”,“Malzemesine Göre”,“Süsleme Tekniğine Göre”anlatılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümünde ;“Bor Halil Nuri Bey İlçe Halk Kütüphanesine ait Osmanlı Ciltlerinden Örnekler”incelenmiş motif, teknik, süsleme unsurları ele alınmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde“Değerlendirme”, beşinci bölümünde“Karşılaştırma”ve altıncı bölümünde“Sonuç”yer alırken fotoğraf ve çizimlerle çalışma bitirilmiştir.

Binding, made of various materials, enables the pages of a book or a magazine to be kept together. Bookbinding, which has an important place in book arts, has been used for centuries. As in various branches of art, the art of bookbinding saw its heyday in the Ottoman period and produced works of high artistic value. Our research consists of examples of Ottoman period volumes belonging to Bor Halil Nuri Bey District Public Library. Our study on Turkish Bookbinding Art consists of six chapters. In the first part; Under the main heading of the introduction, there are“Definition, Purpose and Limits of the Subject”,“Method”,“Literature on the Subject”,“Bor Halil Nuri Bey District Public Library”. In the second part; Under the main title of Turkish Bookbinding Art,“Parts of the Skin”,“Parts of the Cover”,“Materials Used in the Binder”,“Tools Used in the Binding”,“Types of Binding”,“According to the Material”,“According to the Decoration Technique”are explained. In the third part;“Examples from the Ottoman Period Bindings belonging to the Bor Halil Nuri Bey District Public Library were examined and the motif, technique and ornamental elements were discussed. While ”Assessment“ in the fourth section, ”Comparison“ in the fifth section and ”Conclusion" in the sixth section, the work was completed with photographs and drawings.
