With the effect of globalism and the increasing world population, international commerce is one of the backbones of modern society. Developed opportunities make every transaction available even for individual international purchases. The natural result of these transactions would cause an increase in international commercial disputes. Since there is no universal court of international commercial cases, the disputes are tried to dissolve under different methods. The aim of this study is to explore whether litigation should be avoided and to discover merits of Alternative Dispute Resolution Methods. On the other hand, describe arbitration, mediation, negotiation, and med-arb, including advantages and the disadvantages of each method. However, it should be noted that each of these methods, including litigation has its own features, so that compatibility of each way depends on the nature of the case. That's why, this study will reveal the both sides of the coin to let the reader decide on within the frame of related case. ADR methods will be evaluated by various criteria such as; cost, speed, confidentiality, flexibility, interest of the parties, fairness, effectiveness and the impact on continuing business relations. The aim of this study is to decide whether international arbitration is the best among the other methods with adopting a comparative approach.
