Özet
Bireylerin hastalıklara karşı gösterdikleri tepkiler farklılık göstermektedir. Hastalıklara karşı gösterdikleri tepkiler beraberinde tedavi sürecini getirmektedir. Kronik bir rahatsızlık olarak kabul edilen obezitenin tedavi süreci neredeyse bir ömür boyu devam edecek olan bir çaba gerektirmektedir. Bu çalışma tüp mide operasyonu geçiren hastaların tedavi süreçlerinin değerlendirilmesi üzerine kurgulanmıştır. Literatür incelendiğinde obezite hastalarının tedavi süreçlerine dair bir çalışmaya rastlanmamıştır. Tüp mide operasyonu geçiren hastaların tedavi süreçlerinin incelenmesinin bu açıdan literatüre kazandırılmasının bir ihtiyaç olduğu düşünülmektedir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgubilim (fenomenoloji) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını belirlemek için amaçlı örneklem yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme ve kartopu örnekleme yöntemi birlikte kullanılmıştır. Bu çerçevede pandemi nedeni ile sosyal ağ üzerinden Aksaray, Sakarya, Antalya, İnegöl, Manisa, Elazığ, Kars, İstanbul illerindeki 13 hastayla görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan derinlemesine görüşme tekniği, bu kapsamda yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Görüşme formunda hastaların tedaviden önceki hayatı, hastalıkla yüzleşme, teşhis ve tedavi süreci, hekim belirlemeyi etkileyen faktörler, tedavinin hasta açısından algılanması, motivasyon ve destek kaynakları, uyum süreci ve tedavi sonrası hayatın değişiminin sorgulandığı sorulara yer verilmektedir. Araştırmanın analiz sürecinde nVivo 12 Plus nitel araştırma programı kullanılmış ve yorumlayıcı fenomenolojik analize tabi tutulmuştur.

People who may be suitable for sleeve gastrectomy surgery. Phenomenology, one of the qualitative research designs, was used in the research. In order to determine the participants of the research, criterion sampling and snowball sampling method, which are purposeful sampling methods, were used together. In this context, interviews were conducted with 13 patients in the provinces of Aksaray, Sakarya, Antalya, İnegöl, Manisa, Elazığ, Kars, and İstanbul due to the pandemic. In-depth interview technique, which is one of the qualitative research methods, and a semi-structured interview form were used in this study. The interview form includes questions about the life of the patients before the treatment, confrontation with the disease, the diagnosis and treatment process, the factors affecting the determination of the physician, the perception of the treatment in terms of the patient, the sources of motivation and support, the adaptation process and the change of life after the treatment. In the analysis process of the research, nVivo 12 Plus qualitative research program was used and it was subjected to interpretive phenomenological analysis.
