The aim of the study was to investigate internal factors as a predictors of academic procrastination among university students in Bosnia and Hercegovina. Academic procrastination was defined as the irrational tendency to delay completingacademic tasks until the last moment. Among the factors used to predict academic procrastination were locus of control, self-efficacy and perfectionism. The participants were 110 undergraduate students. All participants were administered a demographic form,the Academic Procrastination Scale, General Self-Efficacy Scale, Rotter's Locus of Control Scale and Almost Perfect Scale-revised. The findings indicated that locus of control and self-efficacy were not correlated with academic procrastination. However, two subtraits of perfectionism were correlated with academic procrastination. These findings suggest that perfectionism standard and perfectionism discrepancy wereimportant predictors of academic procrastination. The theoretical significance of the findings as well as their limitationsare discussed.
