Özet
“KENTLEŞMENİN GELENEKSEL KONUT DOKUSUNA ETKİLERİ: ESKİ ANKARA ÖRNEĞİ”DOKTORA TEZİ FATOŞ TANSEL GAZİ ÜNİVERSİTESİ FEN BİLİMLERİ ENSTİTÜSÜ HAZİRAN, 1997. ÖZET Kentleşme toplumsal yapıda ve dolayısıyla mekân üzerinde önemli dönüşümlere, yeni biçimlenmelere neden olmaktadır. Kentsel mekân bir toplumsal mekân türü olarak toplumun bir ürünüdür. Kentleşmenin etkisiyle toplumsal yapıda gözlenen değişimler, kentsel mekâna yansımakta, mekân kullanımı fiziksel büyüklük, yoğunluk ve heterojenlik açısından yeni boyutlar kazanmaktadır. Doğaldır ki; kentleşme sürecine giren bir kent yerleşme dokusu, konut dokusu açısından tehdit altında kalmakta, geleneksel dokusu yeni durumun gereklilikleri karşısında işlevini yitirmekte ya da değişik yeni işlevler üstlenmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, kentleşmenin eski kent dokusu üzerindeki etkilerini Ankara örneğinde ele alarak, ortaya koyabilmektir. Bu nedenle, önce 19. Yüzyıl sonlarında demiryolu bağlantısıyla bölgenin pazar ekonomisine daha geniş bir biçimde açılması, Ankara'nın başkent olması ile sosyo-ekonomik gelişmelerin yanı sıra kentin yeni siyasal işlevler yüklenmesi süreci incelenmiş, ardından bu sürecin mekâna, bu mekânda var olan kentsel dokuya etkisi irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda temel varsayıma uygun olarak sosyal, ekonomik ve siyasal gelişmelerin Ankara'da ortaya çıkardığı mekânsal yapı değişikliği ve bunun strüktür, malzeme, işlev açısından kentsel doku ve yapı dokusu üzerindeki etkisi açıklığa kavuşturulmuştur.

“THE EFFECTS OF URBAN1ZATINO ON HISTORICAL HOUSING FABRIC: İN THE CASE OF OLD ANKARA”Ph.D. THESIS FATOŞ TANSEL GAZİ UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY JUNE, 1997. ABSTRACT Urbanization causes important transformations and new formations on the social structure and consequenty on space.“Urban Space”as a kind of social space is a product of society. The observed changes in the social structure by the effects of urbanization are reflected in the urban space. In a manner that the use of space in the means of gains new dimensions, physical size, density and heterogeneity. It is natural that an urban settlement fabric which under goes a process of urbanization gets threatened in means of housing fabric the traditional fabric there of loses its function or is charged with new functions as a respouse to these changes. The aim of the study is to put down the effects of urbanization on the old urban fabric in Ankara case. For these aim, firstly the new socro-economic development and new political functions related to the integration of the region to the market economy through railway connection by the end of 19's century and Ankara's be coming the capital are analysed and consequently the effects of these process on space and on the urban fabric of these space are evalvated. As a result of the research in confornity with the basic hypothesis, urban structural changes caused by social, economic and political changes are doserved and the effects of these change an urban fabric and building fabric, in the means of structure function, materials, are find out.
