Özet
Bu araştırma, hemşirelik bölümünde öğrenim gören son sınıf öğrencilerin çocuk istismarı ve ihmaline yönelik bilgi ve farkındalık düzeyleri ile ilişkili faktörlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla kesitsel tipte yapıldı. Araştırma, Eylül 2019-Haziran 2020 tarihleri arasında Sivas Cumhuriyet Üniversitesinde hemşirelik eğitimi verilen fakülte ve yüksekokulun hemşirelik bölümü 4.sınıfında okuyan 326 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirildi. Araştırmada verileri, Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile Çocuk İstismarı ve İhmalinin Belirti ve Risklerinin Tanılama (ÇİİBRT) ölçeği kullanılarak elde edildi Araştırmada, etik kurul izni ile araştırma izinleri alındı. Araştırma verileri, SPSS 23.0 programında tanımlayıcı istatistik testleri, Kolmogorov-Smirnov testi, Ki-kare analizi, bağımsız örneklem testi, ANOVA varyans analizi, Kruskal Wallis H ve Mann Whitney U testleri ile istatiksel analizleri yapıldı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde p<0.05 değeri anlamlı olarak kabul edildi. Araştırmaya katılan hemşirelik öğrencileri ortalama 21.81±1.20 yaşında, %75.8'i kadın, %62.6'sının geliri giderine eşit, %84'ü çekirdek ailede yaşayan, %68.7'si 1-3 arası kardeşe sahip, %61.7'si şehir merkezinde yaşayan, %51.5'inin annesi ilkokul ve %38.3'ünün babası ilkokul mezunudur. Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin %6.4'ünün çocuklukta istismar ve ihmale maruz kaldığı, %30.4'ünün yaşamı boyunca çocuk ihmali ve istismarı vakası ile karşılaştığı, %88'inin ise çocuk ihmali ve istismarı konusunda bilgisi olduğu belirlendi. Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin çocuk istismarı ve ihmali belirtileri ve risklerini tanılama düzeyinin orta puanın üzerinde (3.84±0.421) olduğu belirlendi. Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin öğrenim gördüğü okul, cinsiyet, annenin eğitim durumu, çocuk ihmali ve istismarı vakası ile karşılaşma durumu ve ihmal ve istismar hakkında bilgi/eğitim alma ile ÇİİBRT puan ortalaması arasında farkın olduğu belirlendi (p<0.05). Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin çocuk ihmali ve istismarını tanılama konusunda bilgi gereksinimlerinin olduğu, çocuk ihmali ve istismarı hakkında bilgi alma ile çocuk ihmali ve istismarında farkındalık arasında ilişki olduğu belirlendi.

The present study was conducted in a cross-sectional manner in order to identify the level of error, knowledge, and awareness in senior nursing students regarding child abuse and neglect as well as related factors. The study was conducted with 326 senior students who were attending the nursing department in Sivas Cumhuriyet University's faculty and college of nursing between September 2019 and June 2020. Research data were obtained using the Personal Information Form with the Scale for Diagnosis of Symptoms and Risks of Child Abuse and Neglect. An approval was granted from the ethical committee as well as institutional permits. Research data were statistically analyzed in SPSS 23.0 program using descriptive statistics tests, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, chi-square analys, independent groups t-test, ANOVA analysis, Mann Whitney U, and Kruskal Wallis H tests. While assessing data, p<0.05 was considered significant. Students participating in the study have a mean age of 21.81±1.20, 75.8% are women, 62.6% of them are equal to their income, 84% are living in the nuclear family, 68.7% are 1-3 siblings, 61.7% are living in the city center. 51.5% were mothers primary school and 38.3% were fathers primary school graduates. It was concluded that 6.4% of these nursing students were exposed to abuse and neglect in childhood, that 30.4& of them encountered cases of child abuse and neglect throughout their life, and that 88% of them had knowledge on child neglect and abuse. It was also concluded that the level of diagnosis of symptoms and risks of child abuse and neglect in nursing students was above the medium score (3.84±0.421). It was found that there was, in nursing students, a significant difference between factors such as the school they attended, gender, educational status of their mother, their status of encountering cases of child abuse and neglect, and their level of knowledge/training on abuse and neglect, and mean score in the Scale for Diagnosis of Symptoms and Risks of Child Abuse and Neglect. It was also found that nursing student needed further information on diagnosis of child abuse and neglect, and that there was a relationship of the level of knowledge/training on child abuse and neglect to the level of awareness regarding child neglect and abuse
