Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırma Ofun sosyo-kültürel yapısını içermektedir. Dört bölüm halinde sunduğumuz bu çalışmanın giriş bölümünde araştırma metodu ve tetkiklerinin üzerinde durulmuştur. Birinci bölümde teorik olarak sosyo-kültürel yapı hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. OFun sosyo-ekonomik ve kültürel yapısı başlığı altında ilçenin tarihi gelişimi, coğrafi ve demografik dağılımı, ekonomik durumu, eğitim-öğretim durumu ile din eğitimi konulan verilmeye çalışılmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise Of ve çevresinde örf, adet ve inançlar üzerinde durulmuştur. Hayatın çeşitli safhaları başlığı altında; doğum, çocuk, düğün, evlenme, ölüm ve ölü ile ilgili inanışlar ve adetler işlemiştir. Ayrıca bu bölümde tabiatla ilgili inanışlar başlığı altında; cin, şeytan, ağaç, ateş, su, giyim-kuşam, avcılık, nazar, uğurlu ve uğursuz günler üzerinde durulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde ise Of taki yatırlar ve şifalı sulardan oluşan ziyaret yerleri hakkında detaylı bir şekilde bilgi sunulmuştur. Dördüncü bölümde çalışmanın bir değerlendirilmesi yapılarak elde edilen dikkat çekici noktalar vurgulanmıştır.

ABSTRACT In short, our study is on the socio-cultural structure of Of. In the introduction of the study, which we presented in four parts, the socio-cultural structure of the town is concentrated the oreticlly along with the methods and techniques related to the study. In the first part it is tried to give information about the historical development of the town, and geographical and demographical dispersion, economic and aducational stuation, religious life under the title of 'The socio-economic and cultural structure of Of '. In the second part of the customs, traditions and believes inside and around Of are concentrated on same traditions are believes like those of birt, child, marriage, and wedding, death and funerals are presented under the title of“Believes Related to the Different Stages of life”in addition some other faiths about natural events, demon and,devil, tree, water; and the faiths related to clothes, hunting and devi l,tree, water; and the faiths related to clothes, hunting and evileye, lucky and unlucky days are concentrated on. In the third, the places to visiit in Of includiing saints and healing waters are tried to be explained one by one. In the fourth Chapter the study was evaluated complately and important points were stressed.
