Özet
Naming a new born baby has always been a significant task for parents. Choosing a name is even more important and difficult as the name will be carried forever. Having an extremely wide range of names made the task even more complicated. It does not matter what name will be given because the intentions of parents never change. Intentions do not depend on race, nationality or religion. Anthroponym is a personal name given to human beings. It is a part of a big study of names called onomastics. The given paper studies the peculiarities of Kyrgyz and English anthroponyms, but the main focus is on Kyrgyz personal names. The aim of the paper is to introduce with the anthroponyms in Kyrgyz language, their formation, translations and meanings and to find the equivalents between Kyrgyz and English languages. The paper presents you the detailed research on the anthroponyms in three main parts. The first chapter is a theoretical background of the research. It provides the thorough explanation of anthroponyms as well as anthroponomastics and other branches of onomastics. The paper contains data about the history, origin, formation and change of personal names along with the key figures who contributed to the study of names in Kyrgyz and English languages. The second chapter of the research is a practical part. It presents the list of Kyrgyz personal names with a detailed analysis supported by classifications as concept translation and semantic meaning. The personal names are displayed in particular groups as natural phenomena, history, religion, culture and geography inspired names. Each group and subgroup is followed by up-to-date quantity statistics. The third chapter is a comparative analysis of the anthroponyms in both Kyrgyz and English languages with the list of equivalents. The English anthroponyms are analyzed according to the same grouping as of Kyrgyz anthroponyms.

Жаңы төрөлгөн ымыркайга ысым берүү дайыма эң маанилүү тапшырмалардан болуп келген. Ал эмесе ысым тандоо андан да маанилүү жана ошондой эле татаал, себеби ал түбөлүккө калуучу нерсе. Адам аттарынын көптүгүнөн улам бул тапшырма дагы да татаалдашты. Бирок, кандай гана ат тандалып коюлбасын, ата-эненин ниети эч качан өзгөрүлбөйт. Себеби ата-эненин ак ниети расадан, улуттан же динден көз каранды эмес. Адам баласына берилген энчилүү ат илимде антропоним деп аталат. Ал ономастика атуу аттар жөнүндө жалпы илимдин бир бөлүгү. Берилген изилдөөдө кыргыз жана англис тилдериндеги антропонимдердин өзгөчөлүктөрү каралат. Бирок кыргыз энчилүү аттарына көбүрөөк көңүл бурулат. Изилдөөнүн максаты, кыргыз тилинде болгон антропонимдер, алардын пайда болушу, түзүлүшү, котормосу жана мааниси менен тааныштыруу. Андан тышкары кыргыз жана англис тилдериндги антропонимдердин арасында эквиваленттерди табуу. Изилдөөнүн биринчи бөлүгүндө теориялык маалымат менен тааныштырылат. Ал өзүнө антропонимдердин, антропономастиканын жана ошондой эле ономастиканын башка түрлөрү жөнүндө деталдуу түшүндүрмөлөрдү камтыйт. Бул илимий иш, адам аттарынын тарыхы, этимологиясы, түзүлүшү жана өзгөрүүлөрү менен бирге, адам аттарын изилдөөгө чоң салымын кошкон эң көрүнүктүү илимпоздор жөнүндө маалымат берет.
