Özet
Sürdürülebilir turizm ekonomik, sosyo-kültürel ve çevresel anlamda paydaşları ön planda tutan ve destinasyonların geleceğini şekillendiren bir yaklaşım olarak tanımlanabilir. Sürdürülebilir turizmin başarılı bir şekilde yürütülebilmesi için destinasyon paydaşları kilit role sahiptirler. Özellikle de destinasyon sakinlerinin turizme karşı tutum ve algılarını etkileyen faktörleri anlamak, turizm araştırmalarının önemli konu alanlarından birisini oluşturmaktadır. Ev sahibi toplumların, turizmde güçlendirilmesi ve alınan karar ve planlamalara dahil edilmesi sürdürülebilir turizmin önemli bileşenlerindendir. Bu çalışmada, Güzelyurt ilçe sakinlerinin turizmin etkileri ve turizm gelişimine karşı algı ve tutumlarının“Turizmden Ekonomik Fayda”,“Turizmde Toplum Güçlendirme (Psikolojik, sosyal ve politik)”ve“Ekosentrik Tutum”faktörleri üzerinden, Sosyal Değişim Teorisi (SDT) ve Weber' in Biçimsel (Formal) ve Özsel (Substantive) Rasyonalite Kuramı (WBÖRK) ile ampirik olarak açıklanması amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda yöre halkına uygulanan 369 anketten elde edilen veriler Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli (YEM) ile analiz edilerek, araştırmada önerilen model ve hipotezler test edilmiştir. Ayrıca yerel yönetimlerin perspektifinden, ilçe genelinde yürütülen turizm faaliyetlerinin yönetsel, sosyo-ekonomik ve çevresel sürdürülebilirliği nitel analiz yöntemleri kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçlar, sakinlerin turizmin fayda ve maliyet algılarının ilçede turizm gelişiminin desteklenmesinde önemli bir faktör olduğu yönündedir ve ekonomik yöne odaklanan SDT' yi destekler niteliktedir.“Psikolojik ve Sosyal Güçlendirme”ve“Ekosentrik Tutum”algıları ile turizm etki ve desteği arasında desteklenen hipotezler ise Weber' in kuramını doğrulamaktadır. Ayrıca nitel araştırma sonuçları, ilçe genelinde yürütülen turizm faaliyetlerinin sürdürülebilirlik ilkeleri çerçevesinin çok dışında olduğunu göstermiştir. Teorik bağlamda araştırma sonuçlarının, çeşitli model ve teoriler ile, Türkiye'de yerel halkın turizm etki ve turizm gelişimine destek algısı literatürüne önemli bir katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Pratik anlamda ise sonuçların, Güzelyurt ve Aksaray'da turizmin planlanması, izlenmesi ve yönetilmesine dolaylı olarak katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

Sustainable tourism can be defined as an approach that prioritizes stakeholders in economic, socio-cultural and environmental terms and shapes the future of destinations. Destination stakeholders play a key role in the successful management of sustainable tourism. In particular, understanding the factors affecting the perceptions and attitudes of destination residents towards tourism is one of the important subject areas of tourism research. Empowering host communities in tourism and including them in decisions and planning are important components of sustainable tourism. In this study, it is aimed to explain empirically the effects of tourism and perception and attitudes towards tourism development of Aksaray Güzelyurt district residents through“Economic Benefit from Tourism”,“Community Empowerment in Tourism (Psychological, social and political) and ”Ecocentric Attitude“, Social Exchange Theory (SET) and Weber's Theory of Formal and Substantive Rationality (WTFSR). In this context, the data obtained from the 369 questionnaires applied to the local population was analyzed with the Structural Equation Model (SEM) and the proposed models and hypotheses were tested. In addition, from the perspective of local administrations, the administrative, socio-economic and environmental sustainability of tourism activities carried out throughout the district were evaluated by using qualitative analysis methods. The results suggest that residents' benefit and cost perceptions are an important factor in promoting tourism development in the district and support SET, which focuses on the economic direction. The hypotheses supported by the perception of ”Psychological and Social Empowerment“ and ”Ecocentric Attitude" with tourism impact and support confirm Weber's theory. In addition, the results of the qualitative research showed that the tourism activities conducted throughout the district are far beyond the framework of the principles of sustainability. Theoretical results of the research context, with various models and theories, support to local public perception of the effects of tourism and tourism development in Turkey is expected to provide an important contribution to the literature. In practical terms, the results are thought to contribute indirectly to the planning, monitoring and management of tourism in Güzelyurt and Aksaray.
