Özet
Annelik pek çok kişi için, bebeğin dünyaya gelişi ile başlayan fiziksel, bedensel ve duygusal deneyimleri içeren bir süreçtir. Doğuma hazırlık eğitimi ise kadının anne olma haline, önceden fiziksel ve zihinsel olarak hazırlık yapmasına yardımcı olmaktadır. Doğuma hazırlık eğitimi birçok araştırmaya konu olmuştur ancak annelik fonksiyonu üzerindeki etkisi ilk kez çalışmamızda ele alınmıştır. Çalışmamızda gebelikte alınan doğuma hazırlık eğitiminin ve algılanan sosyal desteğin annelik fonksiyonuna etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu çalışma, İstanbul ilinde yaşayan 6-20 haftalık bebeği olan, gönüllülük esasına göre seçilmiş ve bir bölümü gebelikte doğuma hazırlık eğitimi almış bir bölümü ise almamış 151 kadınla yapılmıştır. Araştırmada katılımcılara anne tanıtıcı bilgi formu, Barkin Annelik Fonksiyonu Ölçeği ve Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Ölçekler Google form üzerinden online uygulanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, gebelikte doğuma hazırlık eğitimi alan kadınların almayan kadınlara göre annelik fonksiyonu daha yüksek bulunmuştur ancak doğum eğitimi alan ve almayan kadınların çok boyutlu algılanan sosyal destek ölçeği puanları arasında anlamlı farklılık bulunamamıştır. Algılanan sosyal destek ile annelik fonksiyonu arasında ise anlamlı, pozitif yönlü bir ilişki bulunmuştur.

For many, maternity is a process that involves physical, bodily and emotional experiences that begin with the birth of the baby. Childbirth preparation training helps a woman prepare herself for maternity physically and mentally ahead of childbirth. Childbirth preparation training has been the subject of many studies, however, its effects on maternal functioning is first discussed in our study. The aim of this study is to research the effects of childbirth preparation training received during pregnancy, and perceived social support, on maternal functioning. This study is carried out with 151 women living in Istanbul with 6-20 weeks of babies. They were selected on voluntary basis and some of them received childbirth preparation training during pregnancy. As part of the study, the respondents were given the mother's introductory information form, the Barkin maternal functioning scale and the perceived social support scale. Scales were applied online via Google form. The study has revealed that the BarkinIndex of Maternal Functioning (BIMF) is higher in women who have undergone childbirth preparation training than women who have not. However, no significant difference has been detected between the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support(MSPSS)scores of women who have received childbirth preparation training and women who have not. A positive and significant relationship has been found between the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support(MSPSS)andThe BarkinIndex of Maternal Functioning (BIMF).
