Özet
Yerel basının verdiği haberler için aynı zamanda hayatın ve yayın yapılan yörenin doğrudan kendi gündemidir denilebilir. Yerel basın yöresel bir özellik taşır, yaygın basına göre hedef kitlesi dar ve sınırlı olduğu gibi haber ve bilgi kaynaklarını da bulunduğu yöre, yörede gelişen olaylar ve yörede yaşayan insanlar oluşturur. Yerel basın yayınlandığı bölgedeki yaşamı destekler ve canlandırır. Yerel basın, gündemine taşıdığı konular ile toplumsal düşüncenin eyleme geçirilmesinde ve yerel kamuoyu oluşturulmasında etkili bir yere sahiptir. Bu çalışmada yerel basın örneği olarak Yeşil Giresun Gazetesinin gündem ve kamuoyu oluşturması ile ilgili bir araştırma yapılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen genel sonuca göre Yeşil Giresun Gazetesinin, kentle ilgili olan çok çeşitli konuları her açıdan kendi gündemine aldığı, yörenin ekonomik ve sosyal refahına oldukça önem verdiği, haberlerin verilişinde dengeli bir dağılımı gözettiği, kentin sorunlarını ilgi mercilere aktarma konusunda başarılı bir kamuoyu oluşturabildiği anlaşılmıştır.

The local press reports can be said to be the direct agenda of the broadcasting area. According to the general or general press, the local press has a smaller target group and is more limited. For this reason, the sources of information, news sources and the developments in the local region are composed of people and local institutions. The local press supports and revitalizes life in the region where it is broadcast. The local press influences the thinking structure of the society by using the issues it has put on its agenda. It also creates an impact that stimulates thoughts in society. As a social institution, the local press has a central position in the communication structure of the society. In this study, a study was conducted on how the Yeşil Giresun Newspaper, which is an example of local media, determines the agenda and how it forms the public opinion. According to the general result obtained from the study, it is understood that Yeşil Giresun newspaper handles many issues related to the city from different angles. The newspaper used its own point of view when creating agenda topics. The main issues he considered were about the agricultural and economic activities of the local population and the development of social welfare. It has been determined that the city has shown an example of a successful public opinion in order to transfer its problems to the official authorities.
