Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı İlkokullarda Yetiştirme Programı'nın Türkçe dersi öğrenci başarısı, motivasyonu, tutumu ve benlik algı profili üzerindeki etkisini incelemek ve uygulamada ortaya çıkan sıkıntıları tespit etmektir. İYEP programı ilkokul 3. ve 4. sınıf öğrencilerine uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışmada karma yöntem araştırma metotlarından yakınsayan paralel desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışma 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında İzmir ili ilkokulları, İYEP kursunda öğrenim gören, üç farklı sosyoekonomik düzeyde olmak üzere, toplam 49 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Okullar, ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi ile İYEP Türkçe kursu uygulanan üst, orta ve alt sosyoekonomik düzeydeki ilkokullar arasından seçilmiştir. İki üst sosyoekonomik düzeyde, iki orta sosyoekonomik düzeyde, üç tane alt sosyoekonomik düzeyde olan ilkokullar örnekleme alınmıştır. Ön test ve son test olarak tez kapsamında geliştirilen“Türkçe Beceri Alanları Başarı Testi”, Kara (2008) tarafından Türkçe'ye uyarlanan“Temel Eğitimde Motivasyon Ölçeği”, Erdem ve Gözüküçük (2013) tarafından geliştirilen“Türkçe Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği”ile Şekercioğlu (2009) tarafından Türkçe'ye uyarlanan“Çocuklar için Benlik Algısı Profili”ölçekleri uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen nicel verilerin analizinde SPSS paket programından yararlanılmıştır. Nicel verilerin normal dağılım gösterip göstermediği Shapiro Wilk Testi ile araştırılmıştır. Shapiro Wilk Testi sonucuna bağlı olarak da araştırmada parametrik veya non-parametrik testler kullanılmıştır. Nitel boyutta yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme ve gözlem yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Nitel veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre İYEP Türkçe kursunun, üst ve orta sosyoekonomik düzeydeki öğrencilerin motivasyonlarını olumlu etkilediği, alt sosyoekonomik düzeydeki öğrencilerin motivasyonlarını ise etkilemediği görülmüştür. Tüm öğrencilerin Türkçe dersine ilişkin tutumlarında farklılık olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. İYEP Türkçe kursunun, tüm öğrencilerin benlik algı profillerini olumlu etkilediği saptanmıştır. İYEP Türkçe kursunun öğrencilerin başarılarını olumlu etkilediği belirlenmiştir.

The aim of this study is to examine the impact of the Training Program in Primary Schools (İYEP) on Turkish student's achievement, motivation, attitude and self-perception profile and to identify the problems in practice. The Training Program in Primary Schools was implemented to 3rd and 4th grade students. In this study, a convergent parallel design is used for the mixed study method design. The study was carried out with 49 students in three different socioeconomic levels who attended the IYEP course in Izmir city schools in 2018-2019 academic year. The schools were selected among the upper, middle and lower socioeconomic level primary schools in which the IYEP Turkish language course was applied by criterion sampling method. Two primary schools in upper socioeconomic level, two primary schools in middle socioeconomic level and three primary schools in lower socioeconomic level were sampled. As Pre-Test and Post-Test,“Turkish Skill Areas Achievement Test”developed within the scope of the thesis,“Motivation Scale in Primary Education Level 1”adapted to Turkish by Kara (2008),“3. Attitude Scale for 4th and 5th Grade Turkish Students”developed by Erdem and Gözüküçük and“Self–Perception Profile for Children”adapted to Turkish by Şekercioğlu (2009) scales were applied. SPSS package program was utilized to analyze the quantitative data obtained from the study. Whether the quantitative data has a normal distribution was assessed by Shapiro-Wilk Test. Depending on the result from the Shapiro Wilk Test, parametric or non-parametric tests were used in the study. Semi-structure interview and observation method were used by qualitative dimension. Qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis. According to the results of the study, IYEP Turkish course positively affected the motivation of upper and middle SED students, while it did not affect the motivation of lower SED students. There was no difference in the attitudes of the students towards Turkish lesson. The IYEP Turkish course positively affected the self-perception profiles of all socioeconomic students. It was determined that IYEP Turkish course had a positive effect on students achievement.
