Özet
İmge denen kavramın bilinen en eski somut izleri, tarih öncesi dönemlerin mağara duvarlarından günümüze kadar gelen, yapılış amacının günümüzde bile sırrını koruduğu, dönemin insanlarının kendilerini ifade biçimi olarak düşündüğümüz duvar çizimleridir. Aradan geçen binlerce yılda imge; zihinsel oluşum süreci bakımından ilk günkü karmaşıklığını korurken, uygulama, yöntem teknik ve malzeme bakımından eskisiyle mukayese edilemeyecek bir değişim geçirmiştir. Bu değişim sürecinde kolaj tekniği ile resim yüzeyine giren resim dışı nesneler, resmin ifade gücünü arttırmıştır. Kolaj tekniği ile birlikte sanat alanında farklı akımlar ve sanatçılar tarafından uygulama odağı haline gelen kolaj imgesi, duygu ve düşüncelerin görsel ifadesinde, başvurulan güzide bir yöntem haline gelmiştir. Dönemin savaş karşıtı fikirleriyle ortaya çıkan Dada hareketi, kolaj imgeleriyle; sanatı sorgulayan ve hatta hiçe sayan eserler ortaya koymuştur. Geleneksel resim mantığını reddeden Dada hareketi, yıkıcı üslubuyla dikkatleri üzerine çekerken, kolaj imgeleriyle de anlatımı üst seviyeye çıkarmıştır. Devamı niteliğinde olan Sürrealizm akımında ise kolaj imgelerini; kelimelerle anlatmanın güç olduğu, bilinçaltı ve hayali düşüncelerin gerçeküstü bir üslupla karşımıza çıktığı görülmektedir. Dönemin, sanata yön veren akımları ve sanatçıları tarafından kabul gören kolaj imgeleri Dadaist ve Sürrealist anlayışta hakkettiği değeri görmüştür

The earliest known concrete traces of the concept of the image are the wall drawings from the cave walls of prehistoric times to the present day, where the purpose of construction still preserves its secret even today, and which we think of as the way people express themselves. Image in thousands of years; while maintaining the complexity of the first day in terms of the process of mental formation, the application has undergone a change that cannot be compared with the old in terms of technique and material. In this process of change, non-picture objects entering the painting surface by collage technique increased the expression power of the painting. The collage image, which has become the focus of application by different movements and artists in the field of art together with collage technique, has become an outstanding method applied in the visual expression of emotions and thoughts. The Dada movement, which emerged with the anti-war ideas of the period, with its collage images became the art of questioning and even ignored artifacts. Refusing traditional painting, the Dada movement attracted attention with its destructive style and increased the expression with collage images. In Surrealism, which is a continuation, the images of collage; it is seen that it is difficult to tell by words, and the subconscious and imaginary thoughts appear in a surreal style. The collage images of the period, accepted by the movements and artists of the art, have seen the value they deserved in Dadaist and Surrealist understanding.
