Özet
Amaç: Toplum ruh sağlığı çalışmalarına kanıt oluşturabilmesi açısından bu alanda yapılan çalışmalara gereksinim duyulduğu söylenebilir. Bu çalışmada üniversite öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ile homofobinin ilişkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte bir çalışmadır. Çalışmanın evrenini 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim döneminde bir devlet üniversitesinde okumakta olan öğrenciler, örneklemini ise; araştırmanın yapıldığı tarihlerde okula devam eden ve çalışmaya katılımı yazılı ve sözlü olarak kabul eden öğrenciler oluşturmuştur (n=1048). Araştırma öncesi etik kurul ve kurum izinleri alınmıştır. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu (KBF), Zeyneloğlu (2008) tarafından geliştirilen Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği (TCRTÖ), Hudson ve Ricketts (1980) tarafından geliştirilen, Sakallı ve Uğurlu (2001) geçerlilik güvenirliliği yapılan Eşcinsellere İlişkin Tutumlar Ölçeği (EİTÖ) kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler bilgisayar ortamında SPSS 22 programı kullanılarak tanımlayıcı istatistiksel analizler ve Spearman korelasyon analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Öğrenciler 1ı8-50 yaş grubunda olup, yaş ortalaması 20.39 ±2.23'dür. Katılımcıların %56,1'i kadın, %43,9 erkektir. Toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ölçeği alt boyutları ve toplam puanları ile homofobi ölçek puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı pozitif yönde ilişkiler (r=.236 ile .462 p=0.000) bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve homofobi ölçek puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak zayıf derecede anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Üniversite öğrencilerinde toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ile homofobi ilişkilidir.

Description of the problem and purpose: It can be said that studies on this area are needed in order to provide evidence for community mental health studies. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between homophobia and gender roles of university students. Materials and Methods: The research is a descriptive and time cross-sectional study. The study population consisted of the students who were studying at a public university in the academic year of 2018-2019 and the sample of the study consisted of students who attended school at the time of the study and accepted the participation in the study as verbal and written (n = 1048). Pre-research ethics committee and institution permits were obtained. The data was collected; using Personal Information Form (KBF), the Gender Attitudes Scale (TCRT) developed by Zeyneloğlu (2008), Hudson and Ricketts Homophobia Scale (HRHÖ) validated reliability of Sakallı and Uğurlu (2001) developed by Hudson and Ricketts (1980). Data were evaluated by computer-based descriptive statistical analysis using SPSS 22 programme and Spearman correlation analysis. Results: The students are in the 18-50 age group and the average age is 20.39 ± 2.23 years. 56.1% of the participants were female and 43.9% were male. Statistically weakly significant relationship was found between gender roles and homophobia scale scores of the students (r = .236 to .462 p=0.000).
